The Hand Hotel Llangollen by Compass Hospitality

Not a nice hotel, very very tired, the photos are completely misleading, which constitutes a misrepresentation. I booked what I thought was a nice, spacious room with a river view, what we got was a poky corner room, with a dark bathroom, and an unattractive view of rooftops. It was also cold despite the radiator being on. The walls are thin so you can hear other people. The mattress was so atrocious and blatantly incredibly old (yuk), that I didn't sleep most of the night and woke with back ache. There were roadworks right outside our window, at 8 a.m. on a Sunday morning!?, which the hotel absolutely would have known about, but did not tell us (again hiding information) or take this in to consideration with e.g. giving us a discount for the inconvenience. Also, there was no hot water for a shower the next morning and they actually make you pay for parking, which I think is an incredible cheek. And I don't think the hotel was cheap. It was a disastrous experience, I absolutely do not recommend this hotel.
