I love the view and privacy. It was really quiet in the winter season (first week of January) - cold and rainy, but perfect for my personal quiet getaway/writing retreat. You can hear the cars on the main road passing by at all hours, but it didn't bother me. I liked how many towels there were available and the decor of the home made it feel like a "home". I really liked the water pressure in the master bath and that the drain drained super well. It's dog friendly, yet I didn't smell any dog smells so bonus points for sure! I love that they gave new paper towels and sponge (cut up in half - so clever).
HAIR ON SURFACES. The unit was tidied (bed made, towels folded, things put away), but far from professionally cleaned. Upon evening check-in, things looked ok, but during unloading, i noticed so much human hair on regular traffic surfaces that should've been cleaned and wiped down. The host fees and professional cleaning alone was $200+, with the cleaning being around $150 per stay.
I found multiple long strands of hair on the couch, on the handtowel in the bathroom, and the walk-in shower had soap scum, pink mildew, and hair (including pubic hair). The master tub was better, but had hair and body wash residue. The master sink counter and lightswitch had hair & two clear hair-ties left on the counter from the previous guest.
I understand clear hair ties aren't easy to see, but a spray and wipe of a bathroom sink area would take care of it. The dining table had dried up grains of rice from the previous guest, cooking utensils had food crusted on them and many were melted/damaged. There was a thin layer of dust collected on the hood range (again quick wipedowns would've taken care of this).
These are normally used areas - not an obscure cabinet that no one ever uses/can't see.
Vacasa asked about the cleanliness, so I kindly told them & provided photos when asked. I was told that it was "not ok" & my message would be relayed to the local team and manager to make things right.
I still paid the full fees but asked to be granted a later checkout since I spent so much time dealing with all this. Checkout was 10 am and I needed time to work. I never heard back.
I followed up 5x, and the person forgot what I was talking about. They didn't care to make things proactively right so I asked to pay for late checkout. So much time passed waiting for a response, and I was anxious to confirm l could stay a few hours to work on my projects. I also contacted Booking.

Beautiful location, peaceful, perfect for sunshine or rain. Close to some lovely walks, including the rapids loop track from the Staircase Ranger Station in Olympic Park. Extremely comfortable, would’ve loved to stay longer!
Constant messages from the property management company and need to sign agreements on their site before staying

All was comfortable and cushy in the living room and master bedroom.
Drawer handles missing, 1/2 of the lightbulbs were burned out. Single beds were very uncomfortable. Only a couple glasses to drink from and they were very old and foggy.
