About this house rental

Welcome to Hood Canal! You will enjoy a relaxing get-away in this waterfront home one mile from Hoodsport. Enjoy a refreshing swim or go scuba diving. Bring your boat to enjoy additional splendors of the canal: water skiing, fishing, crabbing, and shrimping, when in season (must obtain appropriate permits). The oversize deck offers a gorgeous 180 degree view of the canal and the beach-side firepit provides additional hours of relaxation.

The main floor of the home has two bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed. A spacious living and dining area accompany an adjoining kitchen, two bathrooms and a laundry room to complete the main floor. A large, loft contains two queen-size beds and a crib. In the garage, a ping-pong table and foosball table add another dimension to your stay.

Also included are a 50' flat screen TV with basic cable, DVD player, and wireless internet. There is plenty of parking in the driveway, and the Hoodsport Winery is just across the highway. The home is located near a great dive spot, boat launch, fish hatchery, casino, golf courses, and Lake Cushman. This is the perfect relaxing get-away!

I first want to say, this is absolutely the cleanest rental property I’ve ever stayed at. I was so impressed with the level of detail the cleaning crew did. The house itself is such a dream. The views are incredible and the deck and lower fireplace area was perfect for our family of 5. It truly felt like you were staying at your favorite Aunt and Uncle’s summer house. The place was well stocked with everything we could’ve needed. The owners really have thought of everything. We cannot wait to come back here next summer. Thank you for helping us make great memories with our kids!

We rented this big house for two because it was accessible for my husband who uses a walker/wheelchair. And of course, because of the lovely location on the canal. This was one of the nicest most well equipped VRBO homes we’ve rented (and we use them often). Perfect set up for a large family or romantic getaway. A real gem!

We’ve stayed here before and loved it so much we came back. Right on the water, oysters galore! Went up to Staircase park and even though it’s closed for the season, you can walk back and explore. The weather happened to be beautiful for our stay! We also checked out the Hoodsport trail, saw Bear prints, Eeck! Coffee shop is also great. House is well-stocked and super cozy and clean. Jim is a delight and accommodating. Until next time….

Clean and spacious. The house had everything we needed to cook and eat in...well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. Clean bathrooms with hygiene products and nice towels. Queen size beds were ok comfort-wise and had the nice touch of flannel sheets. HHouse was decorated for Christmas holiday

It is the most relaxing spot on the canal with beautiful views of the water and mountains. The home is older but very well maintained. You are in walking distance from the winery and a short drive to shopping and a wonderful restaurant.

What a special property! We had a wonderful stay and really felt like a member of the family. The property was ideal for our trip (kayaking) and spending time with friends. Their teen daughters loved spending time in the loft above the garage, and the wraparound patio was the perfect place to watch the sunrise along Hood Canal, sip wine while watching seals frolic in the water, and stargaze after dusk. The property has a well-stocked kitchen and was clean and comfortable.

At first I thought the pictures online seemed sort of dated, but this house was a complete gem! It was classically authentic and very clean. I liked getting the back story from the current owner before we arrived. It had everything we needed to eat there and prepare a meal. Typically I do not chose houses that have a lot of personal effects such as family pictures all over the place, but the old pictures in the hallway were AWESOME! It brought in so much history and we imagined what it must have been like when Bill’s parents lived there. By the way, they both look like legends! I would absolutely recommend this place, it’s beautiful. We had fun playing games, ping pong, and watching the Olympics. It was very comfortable. We all wished we were there for longer than just two nights. Thank you for sharing this most amazing home!

Family vacation. My son is stationed in Tacoma and had some leave time. He always comes home but this time we all thought we would love to see him and sight see in Washington. The weather was great and the location was perfect. We met up with extended family from Bremerton and that spent a couple of hours at the house with us. The house was perfect for us with two bathrooms, laundry room, fire pit, deck and plenty of living space. We tried the oysters from the hood canal and that was a good experience. We had a great time sight seeing at Stair Case falls, whale tour at Puget Sound Express in Port Townsend, Ruby Beach, Sul Duc Falls and hot springs. We didn't spend too much time but there were some extras like games, ping pong table and a foosball table. I wish we had a longer stay.

A great place to stay with ample room for friends. While our friends couldn’t make it at the last minute, we settled in for a lovely stay to hike in the area. You can hear 101 traffic, but you also hear the waves lapping on hood canal. A bonus was watching the swallows nest! And enjoying using the ping pong table!
