The location was very pretty and handy just off the A66. The staff were very friendly and it was good that they are dog friendly as I had my dog with me and I could access outside without going through the pub area. The food was very good, a wide choice and affordable. The room was basic but comfortable with stunning views
Lack of WiFi in the room. There weren't any teabags in the room (an oversight probably)

Beautiful location. Very welcoming. Good first impressions. Nice looking building. Nice buzz. Busy and happy feel. V dog friendly Staff chatty and service and food great
Some fixtures and fitting dated eg shower but all adequate. WiFi poor / non existent

Location very good. Breakfast and dinner were both good quality and plentiful.
Public rooms were fine but elsewhere cleanliness was a big issue. The handrail on the stairs was so dirty it looked as though it hadn't been cleaned for months. We even tried to avoid touching it. Even a wipe with a damp cloth would have made a huge difference.
