The location suited my needs, however I wasn't a fan on the railway line adjacent to the farm and itwas not as tranquil as I was hoping for, as it was situated next to a busy road.
Unfortunately the room was bitterly cold when I arrived at 3pm. The host explained the heating was on a timer and wouldn't come back on until 6pm. Whilst there was a plug in heater, this did not sufficiently heat the room. Furthermore, there was no hot water from the tap.
Also, whilst the room was clean, the bedding had 2 small creamy marks on it which smelled sickly/sugary and I believe this was residue from sweets.
Unfortunately the following morning, I still didn't have hot water from the tap and the room was still very cold. When I asked the host about the water, she said she had messed up the timer settings.
For reference the outside temperature was -2 and who turns the heating and hot water off at all?
Wholly unacceptable!
