The location was ok. Near the harbour and quite near to the city centre. It is in a residential street. The room was confortable. It had a good shower and toilet plus basin. Tea and coffee and kettle were provided and top ups available in the lobby. The door code and key safe were easy to sort. Other guests were friendly.
I didnt have any idea about what was happening on arrival and this made turning up feel a bit tense. I tried to ring and text the contact number several times and it was not available. It latwr turned out that person was away in the mountains where there was no signal. Luckily i managed to get to the accom on time despite some delays and the cleaner was able to sort things for me. This was not ideal.
For the size and quality of the accom the fee is quite high but all was clean and comfy. The room was way too hot when i arrived so i turned down the radiator but then i couldnot seem to get it on half level so i got cold. As the duvet was v thin it would have been good to provide a spare blanket in the cupboard.
Just to note that there is a leak on the bottom right corner of the radiator so the carpet was getting wet in that area.
It would be v helpfil to provide a socket next to the bed head as many.people want to charge their phone and have it next to the bed to check time etc.
There was a v strong smelling air freshener aroma in the room which i found overpowering. May be good to make this an option in future as it can be annoying to sinus related problems for some people ... i find it mildly irritating but opened the window so it was ok.
It would have been handy to have instructions for viewing tv ... i couldnt find freeview or other programmes or perhaps the remote didnt work. It doesnt look like mine and I didnt know how to work it.

The room was reasonably clean. The communal tea and coffee top up table was a nice idea.
Despite telling the property owner we would be booking in at 3pm and receiving a reply, that time came and went with no information about getting in. I sent a query just before 3, asking for the details and received no response. I had to phone the owner while on the doorstep waiting to get in. (Another couple also arrived and were awaiting the check on details while we were there.)
After finally getting in, we found only one bath towel and one hand towel for me and my husband. The shower was ok, but the grout was dirty, the sink drained slowly and in the morning smelt very “drainy” and there was no loo roll holder. Just a roll on the cistern.
The bed was quite hard and the bedclothes thin and didn’t really seem fresh, although they were clean enough.
The TV did turn on but there were no channels and it didn’t appear as if the remote for any streaming services worked. Nothing.
Finally, the room details state chocolate in the room which I thought would be charming. But alas, there was none.

Staff helpful, its very close to the barbican and local buses.
Room 1 smells mouldy, there is black mould on the walls and the carpet smells like its been covered in cheap vac and shake. The external shower is through the kitchen, not ideal, and also lots of black mould and freezing cold. The local area is industrial and dirty, all big shops are at least 30 mins walk

Nothing like advertising. Looked pretty grim from outside. Views???? It was by a trading estate with some very undesirable people hanging round. Reading other reviews I'm not alone in my thoughts on this place. Should be removed from booking.com lost my money but at least I had a clean bed for 2 nights elsewhere. Due to the inaccurate description I am looking for a full refund.
Nothing. Should be removed from website. I want my money back.

The property was well located to the city centre and the Hoe and Barbican, which made exploring Plymouth easy. Close to good eateries and drinking establishments.
For the price there was nothing not to like about the property, perfectly adequate.

Rooms were clean and private bathroom. I would stay here again.
Needs a tidy up in places cosmetically

We have tried several places to stay, over the last few years, but this place is far better, and cheaper, too!
All we need is somewhere to sleep for a few hours, have a shower, parking, and is dog-friendly.
The location is very close to all the main places that people go to like the Barbican, Hoe, Aquarium, City Centre, etc.
There is also an amazing independent beer shop (Vessel's), just a couple of minutes away, too!
The American Manager is very friendly, and very helpful, too!
The young cleaner is also very friendly, and does a great job keeping the place clean & tidy!
This is our "Go To" place to stay, when we come to Plymouth.
Everything was fine!

Room stank . House was dirty . Some enforcement agency with body cams were knocking to the door looking for Nigel . Looked like dept collectors . Not sure who is he . Dodgy place . Not recommending . Stay away

We were meant to stay three nights and we left after the first night since the place was not clean and different than the advertised pictures. The bed was unclean and we found human and dog hair on the sheets and the bed cover. There was a bad smell coming from the room and the building as soon as you enter. The first night we had to stay as we didn't have any choice but next morning we immediately left the place and found a different place on booking.com. we communicated the shortcomings and asked for a refund from this place but we haven't received an answer.

Ideal position for the Hoe & Barbican.
Balcony was a nice addition as we had a dog & she loved lying out there
Good facilities. Good shower
The room could do with a freshen up. It looked very tired, the loft ladder was halfway into the room, the furniture looked very tired & the bedding although clean did not feel fresh. Everything needs to be lightened to make it look fresh.

Good value for money.
The room could do with redecorating.

Only the location
Terrible and bed and bedding
Totally sub standard everything
Have stayed in better Youth Hostel’s
Walking through a communal kitchen to get to the bathroom
Mouldy shower hole in window covered in sellotape
The staff were as helpful as they could have been given the conditions

Clean, good location, comfortable . Lots of amenities near by.
The neighbour unfortunately was shouting and swearing most of the evening and into the night on our second evening. We had an early morning so did not sleep well leading to disappointing results at swimming gala. This was property next door I believe so not the fault of where we stayed .

Location is good, within walking distance of city centre. It was also a great help to have use of the laundry facilities
My assumption when booking the double room with "private" external bathroom was that the bathroom would be close to the room. We were informed via text message en route on the day of travel that the bathroom was actually down a corridor, and at the end of the communal kitchen. It had no lock, so any other guest could have used it if they wished. The property throughout smelled fusty and damp. The shower cubicle was very small with black mould at the base, and there was a general feeling of grubbiness and a smell from the small settee in the room

Location was good and free parking
There was a dreadful smell in the room when we arrived and it lasted almost til we left. The window was wide open, but the musty, stale and moldy smell was overwhelming.
2.0 / 10.0
The property was dire. We had booked in for 2 nights but left after one due to the smell, heat and cleanliness.
There was a smell of poo, weed and mould in the air. The room also had a crawl space above the bathroom which was open, this area was very unclean and concerning. The property was 30 degrees inside with no fan available. To top it off, the “free parking” is one parking space on their road, which will likely already be taken, so save yourself the hassle and book a hotel for the same price.
3.0 / 10.0
The location was very good, only 15 min walk to the harbour & there was a little corner shop just at the end of the road. There was a kettle, microwave & hairdryer which was helpful.communication with the manageress was very good via email
There was only two parking spaces available therefore I tried not to move my car if possible as I would not have had anywhere to park had I come back & there were no spaces.
I feel it was not clear the space was a house share nor are the photos a true reflection of the room size or the room you will be put in
The room was very small, like a uni room and it was finished to a low standard which made it look dirty - although there were areas that were dirty
The area didn’t feel safe, I couldn’t open my window as the neighbours were extremely loud and aggressive all evening into the very very early hours of the day

Had a 2 night stay, the property is very close to downtown and all the sights. The room was very spacious and all the facilities, kitchen, washing machine and outdoor area were ideal. Our private bathroom was down the corridor, easily accessible. Great communication with host, very accommodating in allowing us to check in late and store our bicycles in the yard. Thank you. Would definitely stay here again.
There was a strange musty smell in the room when you entered it. It didn’t affect us and didn’t detract from our stay.
5.0 / 10.0
The bed was comfortable, the owners were very responsive to our requests for assistance. The price was amongst the lowest in Plymouth
The bathroom had a bad drain smell. The bed was initially unbearable with a very strong smell of fabric freshener, it was so bad we had to ask to have the bedding changed. The facilities were very tired and didn't feel cared for. The area was quite industrial and rundown.

The room was too hot no way to keep the room cool. Key lock on the wouldn’t lock on departure.

Friendly host/manager. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. A budget accommodation recommendation
Closer to the city centre than I hoped for, but great if you weren't driving. The place showed potential to be more polished. Things are in place but they need installing correctly and the decor finished.

Great location for watching my daughter run the half marathon. It’s easy reach of Drakes Circus and The Hoe a 20min walk away. Clockhouse pub around the corner.
We liked the privacy and private balcony & bbq although raining so didn’t use it.
Pet friendly and good communication with owner
A bit rough and ready. Adequate for our needs Lots of used jars and tins in kitchen cupboard maybe permanent rental in the winter Duno. Could’ve been cleaner. Not quite the “luxury” it describes
Had everything we needed though. Few health and safety issues but didn’t affect us too much

All the facilities you could want and close to city centre, the Barbican and major routes. For longer stays the washer drier are useful.

The short walk from the railway station and city centre was great. The value for money was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. the room was comfortable and clean.
No T.V. in room although it was advertised as having satellite T.V.

I didn’t actually meet any of the staff, though I did have messaging contacts. The entry is all done by code and key boxes, very straightforward. The facilities and location were perfect for me.
I feel that the room itself would benefit from a deep clean, but the en-suite was clean, as were the kitchen facilities.

Close to work
No milk in room or outside on table for a cup of tea after a long journey. Wasn’t informed that I couldn’t park in front of the property subsequently I got a parking ticket. No on suite in room had to walk through kitchen no lock on door to the bathroom so didn’t feel I could have a shower

Silence. Clean. Good communication with host. Location. I loved having the sun in the room in the afternoon.
Parking on the street is only 2 hours. There is some parking at the back of the property but not sure if this is guaranteed. I was lucky, I think.
