Kona is lovely, just don’t stay at this place where all the accommodation is individually owned and you cannot get direc

It’s close to restaurants and shops

The room is tired and lacks maintenance. The front door is disgusting for a first impression. The screen door lock is faulty and almost prevented us from getting out. The rear screen and patio doors are so worn we had to get maintenance done so we could get the doors to operate. The bathroom tiles are peeling off. The sink wasn’t draining until I used the plunger that was by the toilet, so I guess it happens regularly. Parking is a joke, we had to park down the street where the homeless leave all their belongings. I could go on but the worst thing is the receptionist is only able to tell you to call the owner or vacasa and they want you to text or email. Not very helpful especially if you don’t have a cell phone when you have just arrived.

Expensive! I need a refund

I didn’t end up staying there. They had a water issue, so I was informed the property wouldn’t have water for 2 of the 3 days. Vacasa never responded about a resolution to relocate me to another location. I received a text that I could have containers of water in the room…. that was unacceptable! After I had to find my own accommodations I asked for a total refund. I have yet to hear a word. I MUST have a refund. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Old dirty room with bugs and mildew smell Overpriced for no breakfast or cleaning service Front clerk for check-in was rude Felt unsafe around the premises Filthy pillows and bed (See picture of stained pillow)

Great location and facilities

Cozy and clean studio. Very confortable bed. It has a microwave, toaster, a coffee machine (including filters), fridge, kitchenware (dishes, cups...) but no kitchenette. Nice swimming pool and jacuzzi in the facilities. Located at a walking center from different shopping malls, restaurants and the Alii Drive (main social area in Kona), so plenty of shops and meal options. The nearest and nicer beach is around 10 minutes walking.

Overall, good price and good location. Room was clean and worked great for my work trip.

Central location. Good walking distance to restaurants and shops. Parking was right out front (but on a first come first served basis).

Communication with Vacasa through booking app was non existent. Couldn't ask the front desk for more towels or anything related to the room. They told us that they don't provide those things as they are not a hotel. Emailed Vacasa, texted the property manager to see if we could do a late check out and got no response. Better luck if you call the 800 number.
