Great location with easy access to everything

Excellent place to stay. David was very thorough on the check in procedure, and with the operational details of the condo. It is a large 1 bedroom unit and could fit two additional people with the Murphy bed in the living room. The location is walking distance to several good restaurants, and sunset views. We enjoyed fresh fruit for breakfast on the lanai, which had a partial ocean view. It was a great place to base out of for our week of exploring the Big Island!

We loved it! There was a slight hiccup upon check in but the host was quick to respond and took care of everything. The unit is amazing-wonderful lanai, great amenities and very roomy. The decor is perfect and you just can’t beat the location. Best place to eat (in our opinion) is A-Bay’s right next door. It’s one of the more affordable places and the food is delicious; try their Avocado Toast for breakfast and for lunch/dinner get the fish and chips-you will not be disappointed. Sad to be leaving-had the best vacation ever! Thank you Mr. Threefoot.

The unit is great. Location is awesome. The only issue was the noise from the other connecting property...young adults drinking and making noise from mid-night toi 2am.

I have stayed at many VRBO properties and this one is in a perfect location for all things Kailua-Kona and big island. Property is loved and not just a rental. Owner provided so much more than just a place to stay. From appliances to snorkels it’s provided. Thanks so much for the great memories for my family.

Can't beat the location. Condo was clean and roomy enough for 6 adults. Communication with the owner was excellent.

This was the perfect place to stay with my wife and two teenage daughters. The location was excellent, and the living/sleeping arrangements surpassed our needs. We enjoyed the view of the ocean and Hualalai, and it was great to be able to just pop across the street or up to the 7th floor for great views of sunset. The parking spot was convenient to the room and easy for us to head out on adventures north or south. The teenagers slept in the bedroom and enjoyed some much-needed privacy. My wife and I slept on the very comfortable murphy bed and appreciated being able to stay up later and sit out on the lanai. The place was equipped with everything that we needed, and I can't imagine coming back to the Big Island without staying here!

We thought this property was very clean and well maintained. It was well stocked with towels, bedding, shower items, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, etc. We slept well in the bed the entire time. We found the condo quiet and comfortable. It stayed cool with windows open and fans going while we were there. We loved being in the downtown area of Kona. We appreciated that the complex is at the end of the parking lot, away from the main street. The popular Alii Drive is also on the opposite end of this unit, so it is quiet from both directions. The only issues we had was trouble getting the Wi-Fi to work and opening the sliding glass door onto the Lanai. David was quick and responsive to my emails before the trip. His instructions are very thorough and easy to follow. Even with some rain while we were there, we enjoyed playing the Mexican Train domino game he left there. We had a wonderful relaxing and restful time and are grateful for our stay.

Enjoyed our stay in this very clean and comfortable condo. Has everything you need including a lanai with a partial ocean and pool view with delightful plumeria and palms. We did not know that the condo had a cooler and a variety of “toys” (snorkeling gear) for playing in the ocean including size 11 pool shoes, 2 pool noodles, 2 old beach chairs, 1 folding chair, umbrella, and boogie board. Next to restaurants on Alii Drive! A bit noisy at night from tennis courts next door and traffic on Kuakini.

The condo is located right in heart of Kailua - Kona. Close to all the restaurants and shops. Unit was comfortable without air conditioning with a nice cross breeze. David was very quick to respond to any inquiries. We definitely would stay again.

Very convenient, restaurants and ocean right outside bldg, so convenientfor sunset watching. Safeway and Walmart very close. Excellent, comfortable condo. Kona is so convenient for day trips throughout the island. I hope to be back soon

Our first time in the island; our staycation was phenomenal. I highly recommend to all travelers this condos, location is very accessible to many places. It has pool, appliances, you don’t have to worry about anything except for the food.

Condo is comfortable.

We loved our time at this residence. We were able to walk to many restaurants, shops, and even our luau. The place was tidy and included everything we might need for our stay. We loved having coffee on the lanai each morning with views of both the pool and the Pacific.

If you have little toddlers needing to go to bed by 8pm, there are some music/noises nearby in the evening. The noises normally go away by 9pm. This condo is in excellent prime location so some noises are expected in the evening. Our kids are older so it wasn’t an issue for us. However if you need to put a baby to sleep by a certain time, maybe bring a white noise maker thing to block the noise. We had a fantastic stay and this condo provides everything we needed. Would definitely come back again!

We really loved our stay here. We enjoyed the large living room, kitchen amenities, ability to do laundry, and the convenience of being able to walk across the street to the beach, restaurants, outdoor markets, etc. This place is not fancy but neither are we. It was perfect for our family's stay in Hawaii. Thank you David you were an excellent host.

Easy experience renting this property and loved the location.

My experience in the apartment in this condo was amazing!!! The condo is located in the center of Kona and is close to basically everything!!! The apartment was really spacious, with everything and super clean !!! I had a great experience and I'll definitely remember this location for the next time !!!

We couldn’t have had a more ideal location to go explore Ali’I drive! All the amenities of home plus a pool! Very cozy place and my kids and I felt right at home

Everything was awesome and we loved the close location to all the local restaurants, stores and beaches. I was able to leave my truck parked for five days and walk to every place. As a former B&B Manager on Island, I am very impressed with this rental. It had everything I needed to create delicious meals for my family. Mahalo Nui Loa for your wonderful hospitality and beautiful condo. I loved sitting on the Lanai eating my food and watching the breath taking waves come close to Alii Drive. I love the night life sounds of all the happy people enjoying themselves just as we are loving our life. Much love to David and his family for opening up this pono ohana! Shout out to David for accepting our last minute request after he was on a fifteen hour flight. We are so thankful for this time.

The check in process was easy enough. It’s a terrific place to stay right downtown with-In walking distance of all the shops and a beautiful walk on Alii drive enjoying the beautiful ocean views. The only drawback was no air conditioning.

Had everything you need and very clean and organized

The Kona Ali'i is in a great location. Middle of Kona and walking distance to most everything. Only a few minutes and you are out front watching the sunrise or sunset. The property has an elevator but loading and unloading is difficult. Access with no steps must be done on lower level with ramp to lobby/elevator. Not much parking and only for loading and unloading during the daytime. The Condo is at the back closest to the upper level parking. Unfortunately, have to go thru a door, down steps, thru a cage door and to an outer door with a wonky step. The parking is on an incline upwards in the sun. There is no handicap parking and the Kona Ali'i property and the property manager can be an overzealous parking monitor. We had some trouble trying to park in 3hr guest parking closer to the door and out of the sun even with notification and a handicap placard. I wouldn't recommend this condo or property, even with an elevator, for people with mobility issues. The condo is laid out well with fans and great air flow. The bedroom is on the breeze way from the parking with tennis courts near that were used for soccer games several evenings until 10pm. It can be noisy all times of the day, but I live downtown Portland so status quo. But if you are an early or late sleeper who doesn't like to be disturbed, this may not be the best option. The owner, Mr. Threefoot, was wonderful. Had a couple issues when we checked-in that I did short term fixes, but he made sure they were addressed before we left. I have barely been home, but already ready to rejoin island life.

My husband and I had an amazing time staying here . The room provides you with anything you need. The location is great, easy access to local shops. 5 stars all around!

Nice but needs updating and relates. Could have been cleaner. But we enjoyed our stay overall.

David had very good communication, would get back right away with any questions. His condo is large and nicely equipped we had plenty of space for 4 adults. Having a washer, dryer & dishwasher in the unit was very convenient. A designated parking spot and all the beach equipment were also nice to have. Perfect location in downtown Kona, we would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much David, we had a wonderful 5 weeks stay at your condo.

This property is in need of a some repair and cleaning. Bedroom window will not close on one side and patio screen door does not lock. Master Bathroom light makes a high pitched noise part of the time. Air vents and ducts coated with lint and need to be cleaned! Other than these issues everything else worked fine. We did have a problem with there being only one set of keys for the unit. All the other units at the Kona Alli that we have stayed in provide at least 2 sets of keys, since every time you leave the building you have to have a key to reenter. I contacted the owners and they were not able to come up with another set for our stay.

Good location, convenient to downtown Kailua-kona, well appointed kitchen and two bathrooms! Only downside is absence of air conditioning and sometimes noisy during sleeping hours due to garbage pickup, etc.

This is a very nice place to spend your vacation. Located downtown you are close to everything. Very clean and nicely furnished. David’s Family takes great care of their Hawaiian home.
