I had a lovely time in Rome staying at Amalia Suites. I chose the hotel because it seemed to be in a good location very close to the Vatican and it was also extremely close to the Ottaviano metro station which made it easy to get to the central area and popular sites. The room and bathroom were very nice and extremely clean. The room also came with amenities such as mini fridge, kettle, TV, hair dryer and a bunch of towels which was nice. There was also air conditioning which was very good in the hot weather. I saw some earlier complaints about some rooms not facing the street and my room didn’t face the street either but it was not really an issue for me as I do not care for the view out of my room. However it did mean that there wasn’t much natural light in the room and it did face another room so I was worried the other guests could see me. I used my phone to acces the hotel and my room which was convenient but I was scared that I wouldn’t be able to get home if my phone died but I let the staff know and they gave me a physical key as well which was nice. They were nice and it was easy to keep in touch with them via whatsapp. I really enjoyed my stay at Amalia Suites and I would definitely stay here again!
The mattress was a bit too hard for my liking but I was very happy with the soft pillows.
