Nice cozy home not too far from centre

The home is very cozy. We have a huge TV in our room. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, with a shared kitchen and lounge.

Our TV remote didn't work. Probably the battery is low.

No tea-making facilities in the bedroom. We weren’t at all sure what we were allowed to use in the kitchen so managed without. Tried to turn the kitchen tap on to wash out our flask this morning, but there seemed to be no water in the tap. A lot of noise and shouting in the street late night/early morning

Sonia made the check-in process super easy for us as we needed to get sorted for a wedding and then come back late. A very comfortable stay and a much better alternative to the standard hotels in the area.

Bed comfy. Owner responded to queries but never saw her. Didn't realise Lovely Home with full ensuite double bed meant this was a room in the owner's terraced house. We paid £3 for visitor on-street parking permit. Convenient for meeting up with friends.

No tea/coffee in room. Didn't know we could make a drink or access drinking water in the owner's kitchen downstairs until after we left. Think the owner's has since left a note in the room for guests.

Very thoughtful wall plugs with USB slots for charging. I packed my cable,but forgot the adaptor. Not the end of the world,but it was helpful.

Parking is a bit of a pain in the area,but managed to find a space. The bin in the bathroom could do with a bin bag. There wasn't one so I didn't feel like using it.

The property had everything and more that you need to make this place your home from home. It was spacious and felt like a proper home, not a rental property. The owners were very friendly people who warmly welcomed us and made us feel very comfortable.

Perfect for our short stay!

No Issues with parking, paid extra for permit. Only had a coffee for breakfast as attended local parkrun and only had time for a shower afterwards. Room was very good and even had a fan which was needed as warm night during our stay. Large mirror and electrical socket nearby was simply one of those nice touches and noticed! The owners were very helpful and just really nice people!

I was staying not ground floor, the stair was a bit narrow. If your suitcase is super big, it would be hard to carry.

Was perfect for our one night stay in the area and very good value.

The room was comfortable, though we did not spend much time there. Breakfast was very basic, but good enough. Had we appreciated that the facilities of the kitchen, we would probably have taken some of our own cereals.

The council parking limitations meant that we could not park in the street by the property. The owner (?) said that council have been making it more difficult to buy temporary parking permits. We ended up parking some distannce away and having to walk to the car.

A home from home, but would have been nice to meet host.

Clean, comfortable, warm, mostly quiet, secure. It does what it says, it's trying to be a home from home. Parking permits supplied for overnight (2pm-10am), 8am-2pm permits available to purchase if needed, at £5.

I missed the option to make tea/coffee in my room, separately to having to go downstairs to the kitchen. I heard the other guests (longer term residents), but never saw anyone. Hostess was responsive on messenger, for queries e.g. when I ran out of milk re breakfast, but remote. I didn't see another human for the duration of my stay and whilst some may find this appealing, it felt isolating and lacking in human contact for me personally (single guy, lives by self).

Clean, tidy and warm. Also comfortable bed and good shower. Once we had sorted out the door access we found it really good.

The stairs are very steep with a narrow tread. The sink in our bedroom was too small to have a shave!

The property is one on a quiet one way street of terraced houses set back from the main road. Inside it has had a full makeover and is bright, newly plastered and decorated and spotlessly clean There are a selection of inexpensive and friendly take-away type restaurants with eat in facility and we had an excellent t Indian meal only a couple of hundred yards from our room

To be honest we were expecting the hosts to be hosting and for it to be more of a B&B type arrangement with the hosts living at the property. We were also expecting “parking” as in somewhere allocated to park - not just a voucher for on street parking, as there was a mix up and we did not receive the message sent same day by the host. However our phone call was answered immediately . As we had put parking in a filter I did expect off street parking so that was not a good first impression
