Caliscotia Cottage, Glamis three miles, conservatory

Nice property very quiet. We enjoyed the yard and views

I, (89) stayed four nights with my son (63). We were very comfortable. The cottage is well stocked with everything one might need for a long term stay, even some DIY tools. I broke the chain on the plug of the kitchen sink but thanks to the tools was able to fix it. Ipnever met Stephani but messaged her and found her extremely helpful answering my texts instantly. There are many small things that one, used to living in the lap of luxury, might do to the property to improve it, but they are not essentials. I give this property 150/100% but would deduct 5% because of a very weak shower. That still gives it 145/100%. Stephani did agree to pop over to have a look at the shower but I stopped her. Overall an excellent retreat in a beautiful location with an excellent and willing host. I highly recommend it. I think with its central heating it would be a cosy place for a wnter

It was a very nice house with a wondeful garden, in the perfect location for exploring. It had everything I needed, I would stay again.

Nice little quirky cottage with a nice conservatory and great outdoor space for my two dogs in a very quiet and peaceful area.Unfortunately, the cottage ran out of oil for the heating and hot water after the host was informed there was enough to last the duration of our visit. Hopefully, they learn from this and don't gamble with oil levels, especially in the colder months.This was sorted with storage heaters, but not ideal as we still had no hot water to wash hands or dishes. The savior was that the shower was electric, so we could still shower.The cooker has also seen better days; it could do with being replaced or even an addition of an air fryer if not wanting to go to the expense of a new cooker, especially for longer duration bookings.All of that aside it is still very good value for money and would definitely return later in the year
