The apartment was very fresh and new. The host supplied milk, bread and butter as we were arriving off of a very late ferry which was very helpful. They also left lights on so we could find the property which was a bit remote so no street lights! Being based outside of Kirkwall was good for accessing many locations around the Island which we liked and it also was very quiet and peaceful. The kitchen was roomy and had every thing we needed for 2 as was the bedroom and ensuite.
We really had such a good time here the only thing they could have added would be a washing machine for those staying longer otherwise everything was spot on.

When I arrived I met one of the hosts and was able to get the keys from them. The place was very spacious and clean, had good facilities and the bed was one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in, (better than my home bed!) The location was excellent and close enough to Kirkwall and to St Margret's Hope where I'd arrived via ferry. Host was friendly and helpful and really couldn't fault the place.

Good communication with host prior to arrival, easy to find. Very compact new place with a great shower.
Be aware that the small fridge has NO freezer to make ice cubes to have in a G n T or whiskey, either of which would have to be drunk from a large hiball glass as there are no tumbler size glasses. Minimal cooking utensils, a pair of tongs would be most useful. Privacy film/screen on the glass front door would be welcome.
