Lovely little cottage in a beautiful location!

A beautiful little cottage in a perfect (and very pretty) location for our stay. Great amenities and loved the added little touch of leaving biscuits and some wine for our arrival. Overall a really lovely property.

The only thing lacking in the kitchen was anything safe for oven use. Had loads of pans, spices and oil etc available which was amazing but this would be a great addition.

Perfect little escape in a lovely little pocket on England

Beautifully renovated old fisherman's cottage with lovely old architectural features. Comfortable, warm, cosy... The perfect balance between spacious and snug, and we felt that everything was really well thought out. The information booklet was also super helpful, as were the walking guides etc. Honestly could not think of a more perfect place to have an escape from city life. Location: right next to the estuary, near the Wirral way, a stone's throw from a decent and varied selection of restaurants

The front bedroom on Station Road can be a little noisy / disturbed by headlights, but only very mildly. The double glazing & good blinds in place counter this well. For grocery shopping, we found we had to rely on the big supermarkets in Neston - totally fine, we were just hoping to support local & maybe missed something.

The property was very close to The Parade in Parkgate, very handy for walking the Wirral way and exploring the area. It he cottage was very well equipped, the beds were very comfy. Would recommend if you fancy exploring the Wirral

I liked everything but l suggest one thing to be added. If a child stair gate was added it would give peace of mind to parents as the stairs are very steep.

Delightful, small, but perfectly formed and in as great location.

The little terraced cottage was delightfully and tastefully decorated throughout, scrupulously clean and it was ideal for visiting around the Wirral. Handy for the Wirral Way and Parkgate ‘front’. Bed was comfy and kitchen had all you’d need.

This didn’t affect us at all, but a point worth mentioning for other guests. It’s tiny size means that if you’re of large proportions, let’s say, the bathroom, shower and stairs would be as challenge as they’re all on the narrow side, and the stairs are quite steep. For us it added to the character of the place!

The location and presentation was exceptional. The cottage was just beautiful, tasteful homely and everything you want from a stay away from home. The beds !!!!! WOW never have we slept on a more comfortable mattress. Just wonderful 👏🏻🙌🏼👏🏻🙌🏼👏🏻we will be in touch for details !

We had a lovely stay at the Rambler’s Rest! It was perfect for our visit and we felt comfortable and welcome.

Beautifully decorated and modern updates like heated flooring make it a lovely place to stay. The kitchen is very clean and stocked with what you need to get started.

Take care on the stairs up - they are steep, but very normal for the type of home and its period. There are safety rails and lots of lighting.

Beautifully decorated cottage but the stairs were a real issue.

The height of the stairs was very steep and difficult to climb. You did advertise steep stairs and I do have a problem with ny hip - however i can usually manage steps and stairs.. The handrail was not easy to grab hold of to help me climb the stsirs.

What a wonderful cottage! Spotlessly clean and the wonderful hosts had thought of everytging from teabags and coffee to cute dog treats. brilliant location just off the front and next to the Old Quay pub (great cooked breakfast). It was such a find and we'll definitely be back!

Would of been better with 2 keys as our teenage children stay out later than us oldies. The bedding was so thick and fluffy, it would of been nice to have a sheet or not so hot bedding in this hot weather ( or maybe a fan )

the place was exceptional

The location was fantastic and the property was exceptional, all done to a very high standard. It was like home from home, we had everything we needed. When we got there the host had left a lovely dog box of treats, and we also received a bottle of wine and lemon biscuits, there was also coffee and jams and other little things that made it so special. We could not fault the place, we hope to come back soon. We went to the hosts cafe which was also lovely and very coloured cordinated, shame we didnt get to see host to say thank you for such a wonderful stay. Wilfy our dog also enjoyed the stay, and especially the treats, and ball, hes ball mad, one happy dog. Exceptional place.

This place was impeccable. You could tell straight away that client satisfaction was the priority here and I would full heartedly recommend staying at Ramblers Rest to anyone. A box of luxury biscuits and a a bottle of good wine awaited our arrival and was much appreciated. Thank you so much. p.s. Just to add that I would have given the rating here 101% but had to reduce it to 100% as the salon clock was 20 seconds fast!

Charming fisherman’s cottage, beautifully fitted out with incredible attention to detail. Absolutely everything you need for the perfect stay, great care has been taken to think of everything. Lovely welcome gifts even for our four legged family member! Good quality fixtures and fittings throughout can’t recommend highly enough. Excellent location too.

Though our stay was short we had the best time. The Cottage is immaculate with all the mod cons you will need. A lot ot time and effort has gone in to making it feel very cosy and we loved the seaside theme. It is just around the corner from the parade which has some amazing pubs. We will definately be back!

A lovely little fishermans cottage

You cannot fault this property at all, from decor, facilities, comfort and more was to a very high standard. The location is perfect. The hosts Fliss and Ronnie even had a welcome gift for when we arrived. We will definitely tell our friends about this lovely place and will be making plans to go again.

A luxuriously refurbished old fisherman's cottage with all the amenities, in a great location.

The Rambler's rest was a luxuriously refurbished old fisherman's cottage. The cottage had every amenity needed for an easy stay, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, TV, etc. It was a home from home. The location was very good on the Wirral and close to Chester. We choose to eat at nearby restaurants, lots of options nearby - all walking distance and we even walked our dog on the parkgate front. It was a great escape and we would definitely stay again.

Ramblers Rest was the perfect bolt hole for my trip to Wirral.

The property is beautifully styled and very well equipped. Lovely location with lots of amenites (e.g. Pubs, restaurents and a tea room....and miles of lovely coastland to walk on) all within walking distance. Excellent communication from the host at every point of contact.

Needed relaxed. Got it. Perfect venue.

We wanted quiet, relaxed, walk-in and land type stay. We got everything we wanted. Not even a minute from the coast road, hardly a sound at night. The cottage was IMMACULATE. Just perfect.

The thought, care and attention to detail Fliss and Ronnie have put into The Ramblers Rest is apparent from the moment you enter. The cottage is warm, cosy and so comfortable.....quality furnishings throughout the property and the bed was fantastic. We cant wait to return!
