Decent, basic hostel; nothing fancy, and definitely not a "party" spot, so a perfect choice for those who are more interested in sleeping, and less interested in socializing and mingling. As one of the cheaper lodging options in Madrid, I think this place offers a good value for the price. The front desk is pretty much staffed around the clock, there are shared refrigerator and microwaving facilities, with utensils, cups, bowls and plates, and during certain hours they allow guests to eat and drink at one of 4 little cafe chairs and tables just inside the entry door. The neighborhood is fairly central, and it's not difficult to get around on foot or by public transit, so the hostel makes an ideal base for exploring Madrid. My 4-person room was small, but manageable, and the pods have their own privacy curtains, which I consider a must. Overall, I'd recommend Hostel Center Madrid, as long as you're not looking for anything glamorous or a bunch of onsite amenities. It's certainly fine for a short stay :-)

Very friendly and accommodating staff. The place is so close to Metro, Bus stop, grocery Dia and restaurants plus bars. Really value for money
