Very comfortable stay. Had everything you needed and more for a small property. Selection of books and DVDs was excellent. Bed was very comfortable and the property was lovely and warm and very clean throughout. Very reccommended to all and the town is lovely with a nice deli, very good village shop and post office and some lovely pubs and restaurants for food. Good local bus services and late into the night which allowed day trips to local areas and some beautiful coastal walks.
The outside light which had a notice that it must stay on kept coming on and off all night and due to no curtains on the door this lit up the bedroom and created a lot of unwanted light when trying to sleep. There was quite a bit of noise from the Working Mens club next door but this is at no fault of the property and nothing they can do about it and fortunately it didn't last too long into the night!

Facilities and location were perfect
Bit tricky with parking as we have a large car and one other large car parked right on the line in the top car park, not leaving enough room for us. We managed to park on the main road leading into Alnmouth for few hours until another space was available. Also, cars parked at bottom of the drive in front of a garage door which made parking there bit difficult.

There was a good selection of tea, coffee etc for our use as well as a welcome bottle of fizzy wine which was a nice touch
Nothing we didn’t like but maybe a few board games in the property would have been nice.

The property was ideal for a couple, very clean with everything you needed for a break away. It was warm and cosy. The bottle of fizz was a nice welcome treat too !
It wasn’t a problem for us but not having a door on the bedroom means you can hear everything from the lounge area, so basically if you’re a couple, you might disturb each other if going to bed/getting up at different times.
