Modern Minimalist 3-Bed Duplex Apartment in York - Pass The Keys

Very modern, well equipped, great staff communication, fab location, comfortable beds, lovely outdoor area

The outside entrance wasn’t the most appealing, a few cobwebs here and there, no curtains on bedroom windows so hard to sleep past sunrise and the downstairs bathroom is very small and the toilet seemed to run constantly

Problem with the roof skylight leaking onto the dinning room table. Downstairs 2nd bedroom way too small, no room to move, sink too small & shower plug blocked, The upstairs bedrooms had only blinds, no curtains so it was very bright in the room from 4am onwards, disturbed sleep. Needs a touch of paint & refresh, walls scuffed & marked & paint peeling of the bannister. Handles in the bedrooms broken, need replacing. Needs a table in the living area, no where to put drinks on apart from the floor.

Lovely place and will definitely stay again

This was the perfect place for our family of four adults. I liked the fact that it was not in the city centre, so it was in a quiet suburb, leaving us with quiet evenings and with a great night's sleep, rejuvenated to explore fantastic York the next day. But still close enough to walk into York, approximately 10 to 15 min easy walk. A bus stops right in front of the apartment if you wish to take that - bus number 11 takes you into town. The apartment is very well furnished with enough space and beds for 5 to 6 people. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The apartment is very well equipped with anything you might need, washing machine, dishwasher, two lounges both with TV's, underfloor heating and many more. This is upmarket living at its best and very good value for money. We loved the Co-Op retail store on the corner and bought most of our goods from them, they are well priced and regularly have good specials - we chose to make our meals at the apartment as it was so well equipped that we felt at home. It was also much cheaper than eating out in York. The staff of Pass the Keys were absolutely fantastic, they responded immediately when I was unable to set the heating temperature, which was my fault for not reading the instructions in the leaflet, but nonetheless they made sure we were happy. I will make every effort to book through Pass the Keys on my next trip to the UK.

We arrived quite late and it was dark, so we struggled somewhat to find the entrance, which is at the back of the property. The instructions were clear, but we were a bit disorientated at night. It is quite easy because you have to walk down the small road with the Co-op on your left and then take the first small road left. The entrance is at the 4th house on your left, there is a name board that says Pear Tree Apartment.
