Villefranche-de-Rouergue a commune in the Aveyron department in southern France. Villefranche-de-Rouergue station has connections to Toulouse, Figeac and Aurillac and one of the most picturesque bastides in Occitanie. Villefranche-de-Rouergue – a celebration of local life and produce where the Aveyron region is known both for its abundance of local produce, its raw and captivating landscape with intriguing gastronomy thus, if Conques was fuel for the soul of the ancient pilgrims en route to Santiago de Compostela, then surely vibrant Villefranche-de-Rouergue was and still is a feast for the senses!! QCD (Quality Cost and Delivery) - Le Loft apartment Villefranche encapsulated within the medieval bastide city where the apartment was located inside a 17 Century Building at the heart of the market square. Jonathon - generous , most helpful host provided luxurious accommodation ensuring needs were met a pleasure to meet him in person. This creating a unique quirky experience in the confines of a chic industrial themed space for a special long weekend where rustic medieval collides with 17 century elegance. The Pilgrims route in Aveyron is the journey between the two towns, first along the meandering valley of the River Dordou and through the plateaux and the vineyards of the Marcillac and then over the plunging tors over the gorges of the River Aveyron really must have felt as a penance through the arduous scenic scape arriving in Villefrance a delightful experience seeing this 13th century bastide town distinctly having southern feel acquiescing a sleepy haven of calm. The bastide towns were of course designed with the main focus on the market rather than the church, with a tidy network of streets emanating away from the central square. Filling the central Place Notre Dame and spilling out from the shade of the covered arcades and the tall timber framed houses of the wealthy merchants of centuries past, the market oozes down the narrow streets of Villefranche.

Sadly Saturday evening was spoilt - a DJ performed atrociously in the market square the sound system was out of synchronisation creating a distorted cacophony/disonance from 1900-0200hrs.

La situation géographique était aussi exceptionnelle que l’appartement. Les photos étaient plus que fidèle à l’appartement m, confort, équipement, propreté, c’est la première fois que je met un 10/10 et franchement plus que mérité !!!

Tout! L’emplacement parfait pour rayonner dans la vile et la région ,le magnifique appartement où rien ne manquait dans les moindres détails , la propreté du lieu. Les indications précises pour accéder au lieu ainsi que les différentes informations pratiques et touristiques. De plus notre hôte nous a envoyé gentiment plusieurs messages pour nous demander si tout se passait bien . Nous avons apprécié .

Perfect location right beside the cathedral. Spacious apartment fitted with everything you could need, including things to keep the kids occupied if you are travelling with them., and a washer and drier, playstation etc. Even a foosball table. A good restaurant right next door. Comfortable beds and bedding.

Nothing. it was very well thought out. Only thing to keep in mind is that the handbook is online and it contains the wifi code, but theres poor phone connectivity inside the apartment, because of the thick stone walls. So download the booklet before you go in.
