great location, town Centre, close to beach

no banister on upper floor, which was needed as stairs were steep. front door hard to open from inside

Comfy little cottage in a great location for exploring Lyme Regis. Clean and with comfy beds. Enclosed secure garden perfect for the dog. Micro brewery only a few steps away also a bonus! Car park with permit is close by so not an issue - plenty of spaces.

Slightly inefficient radiators… thank goodness for the electric fire in the lounge…! Kitchen could have been a little better stocked - more bowls and some basics like sugar, salt & pepper.

We hired this house from the 23rd of December 2025 until 27th December 2025. This house should not have been hired in the open market during this time or indeed any time in winter as it does not have an adequate heating system. During our time here the average outside temperature was 4 degrees Celsius with a wind chill factor reducing it to minus 2 Celsius . The internal temperature of the house was limited to 17 degrees Celsius. The causes of this are unknown but there are three possibilities. 1 the radiators are inadequate. During our time here they never became more than hand warm to the touch including the towel rail 2. The boiler itself may have had a governor which prevented the heating rising above a set temperature 3. The thermostat was locked at 17 degrees which is the most likely. During our stay here we watched two YouTube videos on how to adjust the thermostat but it did not respond as expected. Our child who is 12 years of age spent three days sitting in his coat over Christmas. This has frankly ruined our Christmas holiday. At some point we will be asked to publicly review this house and your company ; I think you will know how we are likely to respond.
