Welcome to Beach Blanket Bungalow — A Chic Coastal Escape in Carmel-by-the-Sea.
As you arrive via the elegant stone paver driveway and pass through a gated arbor draped in blooming Sally Holmes roses, you’re welcomed into a spacious flagstone courtyard. Here, a commercial-grade fire pit and cozy seating offer the perfect setting for unwinding with a glass of wine or a favorite book. French doors open directly from this patio into a private family room or office—ideal for work or quiet relaxation.
Just two gentle steps lead to the covered front porch and Dutch door entry, opening to a luxurious, single-level home designed with comfort and style in mind. The living room features vaulted ceilings, a 65” Samsung Frame TV, and a large picture window overlooking the peaceful courtyard.
The heart of the home is a custom-designed chef’s kitchen, centered around an imported Le Cornu range from France and equipped with a Thermador refrigerator, wine fridge, microwave drawer, drip coffee maker, and expansive Imperial Danby marble counters. A mahogany farm table anchors the built-in banquette dining area, comfortably seating 8–10 with plush cushions and accent pillows. A nearby Dutch door opens to the side yard, where you’ll find a standing gas BBQ for al fresco cooking.
The thoughtfully designed layout includes:
• A front queen en suite bedroom with a private half bath
• A second queen bedroom adjacent to a full hall bath and Bosch washer/dryer

We have stayed in many monthly rental properties in Carmel, and Beach Blanket Bungalow is our favorite!
First of all, they did an amazing job on the recent renovation, and the entire house is just stunning. They also converted the garage into a second living space with an office, which is really nice, and the outdoor fire pit on the patio is commercial grade and totally awesome. Not to mention how pretty the landscaping is!
We really enjoyed the location, as it's a quick walk or drive into town, and you can get on the coast highway super quick too. Lastly, the hosts are really nice people and did a great job taking care of us. We sure hope to go back!

Beach Blanket Bungalow is in a serene neighborhood that made it perfect for us. We walked into town (10 mins max) and down to the ocean (20 mins max) almost every day. Also, the Bungalow is very close by car to the airport, major shopping centers, fitness centers, several wineries, and other attractions.
Our host, Denee Berliner was so fantastic – from the first contact we had with her, and throughout our stay, whenever we contacted Denee for any reason, she responded immediately and was hugely helpful and incredibly gracious.
The Bungalow itself is charming and cozy, graced by a treelined and flower-filled front-yard with a glorious sitting area. Plus the home had a fully equipped detached office that enabled my husband to work and hold meetings privately, while I could do the same at an ample table in the house itself.
