    The location is good, but honestly, that is the only positive thing about this hotel. The rooms have a disgusting, unbearable damp and musty smell. I complained and was moved to three different rooms, but all three had the exact same problem. At this point, I believe the damp and musty odor is a problem throughout the hotel. On top of that, my room was full of ants. They were crawling all over the desk ledge, furniture, and even around the sink. This is completely unacceptable and shows a serious lack of cleanliness and maintenance. And despite all of these issues, the hotel charged me 400 baht for a dirty towel. I find it unbelievable that the hotel is willing to charge guests for a towel while guests are expected to tolerate rooms with a horrible smell and ants everywhere. I would never stay here again. If you are considering booking this hotel, I strongly recommend thinking twice. A good location is not enough to compensate for unacceptable hygiene and room conditions.

    We were very disappointed with our stay at WeKata Luxury in Phuket and unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel. Upon arrival, the first room we were given had a strong damp smell. We raised the issue with reception, and they moved us to a different room. However, after about an hour, the same damp smell returned, despite the fact that the staff had heavily sprayed the room with air freshener. When we brought this up again, the receptionist admitted that the damp smell is due to the layout of the hotel itself. This was very concerning, as we started feeling unwell from staying in the room’s poor conditions. We politely asked if we could cancel the rest of our booking so we could move to another hotel, but the staff refused. We spent a day and a half trying to resolve this issue, even offering to let the hotel keep the cost for the one night we had already stayed — but still, they refused to refund or compromise. In the end, we chose to move to another hotel anyway, as our health was more important. We were extremely disappointed with how the WeKata team handled the situation and will not be staying there again.
