Casa Satta 1925

We originally booked a resort near Cala Brandinchi, however a week before our trip the resort was not ready to be open. Fully refunded, we began to look online again for new accommodation. Casa Satta 1925 was an absolute gem in the middle of the city. The romantic double room was tastefully decorated with brass finishing in the bathroom. Beautiful Juliette balcony with literally lemon and orange trees in the courtyard area - which gave us a true Italian experience. The room had an enormous bed, queen size. The mattress is on the firmer side but the pillows make up for this. AC is a must in spring/summer. Great idea to have a mini-fridge. We would walk 3 mins to Superpan (mini-supermarket) to buy freshly baked rolls, cured ham and cheese to make sandwiches for day trips to the beach. Also great for storing bottles of soda or something fancier! The shower had excellent pressure however when showering in the evening we did experience cold water (most likely other guests showering at the same time). Regrettable the coffee pods were not replenished each day and we did end up purchasing toilet paper in case we ran out. Parking can get busy. White lines mean free parking. Via Nazario Sauro gets very busy. But we always found parking in Via Marmilla and Via Penisola Dem Sins (near Farmacia). It’s best to hire a small car such as a Fiat 500 or similar. We asked for this but ended up with a small SUV which made parking tricky at times. I would truly recommend Casa Satta.

Very convenient walking to restaurants and grocery. Also able to take public transportation easily from this location. Communication was excellent and easy instructions to enter the apartment.

Daniela was very attentive, always responding quickly in person or on WhatsApp. She also gave us great tips for restaurants and getting to the beaches. The room was very nice and romantic, and there are tons of restaurants and shops nearby leading to the centro. Be sure to check out "Mere" restaurant (reservation recommended), the food there is amazing!! Also we liked the cafe directly across the street for breakfast.

Amazing! A true little gem 5 minutes away from the noise of the city centre! Absolutely beautiful little hotel, big double room, fab decor, amazing service, snacks and water provided and amazing care taken in making sure we were happy. We forgot to take an iron and this was bought for us which literally saved us from a disaster. Do not be dragged into the hype of bigger hotels when small gems like this are just as good- if not better!
