Hotel is amazing just wish they provided more than 2 small pillows per bed.

The hotel is set back in a quiet wooded area. Room was basic but clean and updated. There’s a great little coffee “shop” on the property. Great value! I’ll stay here again!

Great spot to lay your head after a day on the water or adventuring on the beach. Great staff and very responsive.

The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. However, it was awkward not to have chairs anywhere to sit in. Also, the toilet needs to be secured to the floor (maybe it's just the tank that is loose). The staff at the customer service area were not as familiar with the area as I would have expected and so weren't able to answer some of my questions.

This does the trick for a night or two but keep expectations low. Pros: - clean - free parking - good location Cons: - limited guest services (certain hours only) in separate building - poor wifi and TV didn’t work - were told to use cell phone data to hot spot the ROKU!?! - 10 am check out time; no response to request to extend slightly - not much privacy - poor air circulation - room was hot - tap water tastes sulphuric but no drinking water offered - parking lot view, no grounds to sit/spend time - small rooms, not even space for an extra chair

Clean, nice room with comfy beds. It was hot out so everyone had their windows open, which means everyone can hear everything. It worked out since all guests were quiet but it may be hard for those with yappy dogs or crying kids. My only wish was that there was more outdoor seating on the property, like benchs or picnic tables. Definitely bring groceries with you since there is only 1 sitdown restaurant in the area.

Very clean room and quiet environment. Some parking area are unpaved may need some improvement.

Would have appreciated some communication during a power outage.

If you are planning a trip to Port Renfrew, this is a good option, the location is great for a short walk for evening meal or beverage, five minutes walk to the Renfrew Hotel. A short drive to several amazing beaches, a great, local coffee shop (that also serves beer) and an all round break from the madness.

Quiet motel close to hiking trails,a couple good restaurants and tourist attractions.

Loved everything about this place. Cozy, well-kept, and perfectly located for exploring the area. It was quiet, comfortable, and had everything we needed after a day of adventuring. The kind of spot that makes you slow down and just enjoy being there. Would happily come back anytime.

We stayed 2 nights for a hiking adventure. There were no options close for dining, small town, but walked to a "Pub" on the wharf that was fine for dinner. The room was clean, but no options for housekeeping while we were there. There also was no ice machine or freezer in the room, which was inconvenient with a knee injury. Although the Lodge had limitations and a monosyllable staff, there were few options available in the area, so it was convenient.

Just a tired room with a crappy shower and meh bed

Stayed at West Coast Trail Lodge in Aug 2025 as a family (two adults, two kids in a deluxe room with kitchenette). It was a solid "pretty good", which is more or less exactly what we expected. PROS: Really nice location and scenic grounds with the north-facing "front" rooms offering a view of Port San Juan. The Beach Camp coffee truck on site has AMAZING coffee (and the owner is pretty cool). Rooms was stocked with usual hotel coffee / tea, refrigerator & microwave. It was nice and clean, had ample hot water and was a 3 minute walk to the Renfrew Pub - the main restaurant in town (and I think owned by the same company). CONS: They try to do an Air B&B-style check in and automate the process so you don't have to talk to staff. While I get how this could be useful, the process didn't really work for us... I didn't receive any check-in details via e-mail, and the front desk staff seemed annoyed when I came in to guest services in-person. After a circular discussion about a check-in e-mail I didn't receive, I was given a check-in paper (but no check-out info). I didn't receive the check-out e-mail until after we left, and it was different from the information posted in the room. Other trivial things were that the TV was very slow (probably due to a full hotel & limited bandwidth), beds were hard and the kitchenette sink tap was broken. These were minor things that weren't

Room was too hot to sleep in even though heat was turned off. Tap water smelled and tasted like sewage. Duvet had thin flat sheet under but had no cover. Made us take out the garbage ?? Strange place but had an LDR blue bannisters vibe

Great place - worry free check in etc.

Such a beautiful area with clean, comfortable rooms. On-site restaurant was very good. My only complaint is that they were cutting wood with electric saws right outside our room at around 10 am- noon. Wouldn't normally be a problem except that my family was trying to nap during that time after returning from a very early excursion.

Remote and beautiful area, surrounded by gorgeous trees and wildlife. Our room and bed were comfortable and the room had all of the basics. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The nearby pub was convenient and offered tasty food and cocktails. We are ready to go back and stay longer!

Basic motel room, no lodge experience. Two outside chairs for building that was fully booked. No picnic tables. Perhaps I was expecting something more from the pictures.

we stayed two nights. upon arrival, our fridge was not working. with no onsite maintenance, we were told to hold tight and they would email us . By the next morning we had not heard back but we reported back that to them that we resolved the issue. service was friendly but aloof. The rooms were simple and had been updated but the linens were lacking with the sheets and mattress protection coming off the bed. wifi was inconsistent and weak which made using the television impossible. Being in the lower level was noisy with people going in and out. The room was also very bright due to outdoor lighting and in adequate shades.

Clean and well kept

For Port Renfrew, options are limited, we had a nice stay overall but some minor issues that could have made it better. Check in was contact less but as we were on the road we lost communication, and checked in at guest. It seems they wanted no contact and were told to check our email for code to access our suite. When we got there, parking is a little distance, not a lot of parking and the door code would not work. So we had to call someone while carrying our luggage to the send floor. The place is quiet and clean, room size was ok. TV had no channels that really work other than UTube. I would suggest to bring a dvd machine, data is also not stable around this area for a streaming device.
