    Stayed for a night for 2 rooms since we are a group. Hotel is located in district 1 with lots of food choices. We met 2 staffs while we are there and the woman was more helpful when asked about directions to places we want to visit in Ho Chi Minh. They have the basic amenities in the room. Going to Central Market and the red light district is walkable. Easy to book grab from the place. Overall, it is ok for an overnight stay.

    Scam Alert – Avoid This Hotel I booked this hotel because of its location and reasonable price. It is located right beside Mia Hotel, where we stayed during our previous trip to Ho Chi Minh City. Since Mia Hotel was fully booked, I decided to reserve a room at this adjacent property instead. However, just 3 hours before check-in, the hotel staff called and informed me that there was supposedly a problem with their water supply. They then told us that we would be transferred to another hotel of their choosing, located almost 1 kilometer away from the original location. The replacement accommodation was acceptable, but later I discovered that we had actually paid almost double the rate of the hotel we were transferred to. The hotel offered no compensation and insisted that the room was an “upgrade.” In reality, it was not an upgrade at all—it was just an average room with no noticeable improvements. What makes this even more concerning is that after doing some research, I found similar stories from other travelers in Ho Chi Minh City involving last-minute hotel relocations. It appears to be a tactic used to fill rooms in partner properties while keeping the higher booking rate from guests. Based on my experience, I would not recommend booking this hotel. Be cautious and double-check if you receive a last-minute transfer request, especially if no compensation offered

    - Room is good. 3 single beds. With TV (no cable), with free wifi, with free water, coffee, and tea. - I chose a non-smoking room, but the room smelled smoke (mostly coming from the bathroom). I am not sure if it was coming from the exhaust fan. - Wifi is only good for casual browsing, a bit slow. But we had our own pocket wifi so this was not really a problem for us. - Reception people were great and friendly. Can speak English. - Bathroom has heater. With towels and toiletries. Be careful coming inside the shower area when it's wet since the floor gets really slippery. - The room smells of mothballs (found them in the shower drain). Not big of a problem, but better if they use a different odor eliminator. - Location is a few blocks from Ben Than market. Lots of restaurants around. The Bo Ne Ba Nui is just right at the corner, which is our go-to breakfast. We'll definitely stay here again. Affordable and a good place to stay. My only real concern is the smoke smell.

    Staff wasn't friendly. The room is old and run down. The only positive was good water pressure and a good water heater.
