    If you want to avoid the suffocation of French quarter rat box, Hai ba Trung district can rescue you. I enjoyed mixing in with local life & culture here. Thong Nhat lake & surrounding park much better than Hoan kiem lake. There's nothing to complain about the hotel. If you need air conditioning & like shopping, Vincom center is only a few steps away. Take the city bus to explore Ha Noi outside of city centre. It is growing like a virus!

    Hotel is small and old style. But staff are friendly and breakfast is very good. It is fairly clean and safe. For a budget traveller, nice, quiet and comfortable place. Bonus is nearby Thong Nhat park where a huge lake for exercises await and amenities nearby like eateries and Vincom Ba Trieu are really excellent.

    Big comfortable room for a very reasonable price, and with daily breakfast included—amazing. My only complaint is that the wifi barely worked on the 5th floor. I was able to hotspot my phone, but if wifi is vital for you, you should double check before you book.

    It is okay if you are spending a lot of time exploring, not staying in the hotel too much/just for the sleep. Nothing fancy, came into the room and it was smelling "old", A/C cleared the smell. Cleaners should clean the fans as well, they were really dusty.
