The restroom is a bit dark because the light is dim but it would not be a big problem.

Not an usual place but absolutely creative and artistic! High ceilings with lovely paintings on the walls. The owner is a great artist! Fully equipped kitchen !

The previous week I stayed in the old quarter area and I got very tired of the craziness of that area so I chose a more calm area…. Not many tourists around near a shopping mall and great restaurants .

Tưởng, the owner, is very nice and accommodating. He was always willing to provide help when needed. He even went to buy a lemon squeezer when I asked if he had one. However, this didn't really make up for the disappointing rooming situation. It's important to know that there are two very different rooms available in this residence. I booked the cheapest one, thinking there was not that much difference, but the difference is consistent. The pictures are quite elusive. Tưởng is a photographer and can take very good shots. First, the room doesn't look at all as in the pictures (see pics attached). Second, the kitchen develops in the walkway on top of the stairway, and you will share it with him. He will be cooking right outside of your bedroom, which makes for very little privacy. He also lives in the room on the other side of the small walkway, which reduces privacy even more. The worst part is the bathroom, though! It is an open space behind the kitchen partially covered with fiberglass. I was in Hanoi during the cold season, and it was very uncomfortable to get out of the room to pee during the night or shower in the morning. I was there one month and ended up showering at a gym close to the apartment, where I had made a subscription. I adapt very easily to all sorts of situations, but for many, this would have been a nightmare! I definitely paid too much for what I got!
