Nungwi Garden Boutique Hotel

Very friendly staff..Attentive. Lovely grounds and a ver convenient area for beach life.

This hotel is in a great location. Beach access is a five minute walk, there are at minimum 8 restaurants in the vicinity, and you can grab a taxi as soon as you step off the property. Rooms were cleaned daily, and the staff was very helpful. The only issue is that the WiFi was not very reliable… Which worked since it encouraged us to unplug and relax.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. With only 6 or 7 rooms, it's nice and quiet. Pool is large enough, fruit, fresh juice and pancakes breakfasts really nice. Staff very friendly, namely Abel at the reception and Fatima at the breakfast were the ones we were in touch the most and both are really kind. Parking great, we were the only ones with the car and the hotel has about 4-5 spots for cars in the yard, so it's nice and safe. Location great, a two minute walk to our fave brach in the whole Zanzi. We've seen quite a few, but concluded this really is the best one. Not everything was perfect thought - we have first stayed in room no. 6 that had multiple issues, mainly incredibly low water pressure in the shower making it almost impossible to wash hair (while water pressure in the sink was great), another thing is that it was very difficult to open and close doors to the hotel room - the doors grinds the door frame and lastly half of the light bulbs were not working including lights above the sink. The room was really gloomy. We have changed rooms half way through our stay and the other room was great, but its a pity that the owner can't be bothered replacing light bulbs and adjusting the door in no. 6. I get that the water pressure might be a big job to fix, but it needs to be done.

Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet and safe. Good location. We was supposed to stay at Kendwa, but because of a bank fraud (!) we left the original plan, and booked through hotels.com at this place. We are very glad how everything turned out. This location at Nungwi is good. At Kendwa we would be stuck at our resort. Here we had more flexibility on what to do all the time. Good aircondition at the rooms (you don't want to stay at Zanzibar without) We got most of our money back after 30 days, and like 150 emails.. you can't even trust a government owned bank at Zanzibar..! So you better do payments by card directly, or by trusted booking sites..! And.. taxi from airport to the hotels up north is fixed price.. $50 for xl car. We was 6 persons
