    It is a nice, quiet, aesthetic hotel with extra friendly staff. The check in was smooth, friendly. The bed was comfortably and the room was quiet. Breakfast was included in my stay, which was good. The gym is small but adequate. There is no pool. Highly recommended overall.

    I have stayed at a variety of hotels over the years, so I was looking forward to my stay at West Hotel Sydney – Curio Collection by Hilton. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet the standard I was expecting. There were several aspects of my stay that were disappointing. The mattress was extremely firm, making it difficult to get a comfortable night's sleep, and the quilt was very thin, which left the room feeling cold. I was staying on Level 5, while a colleague was on Level 3, and we both found the rooms to be noisy. The air conditioning also took a considerable amount of time to warm the room. Breakfast was another letdown. The barista-made coffee was served cold and had a bitter taste, and the buffet items were replenished quite slowly, meaning there were often empty trays while waiting for fresh food. On a positive note, the hotel's location is excellent. It is within walking distance of many attractions, restaurants, and the CBD, making it very convenient for both business and leisure travellers. While the location is a definite strength, the overall comfort and dining experience did not justify the price or the expectations associated with the Curio Collection brand. Unfortunately, I don't think I would choose to stay here again.
