    The Good: Amazing Location and Standout Staff We stayed here for one night to check out Vivid Sydney, and you truly cannot beat the location for exploring the festival. ​What really saved the trip was the staff. When we first checked in, our room had a bit of an unpleasant smell. The front desk team were incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating, changing our room for us without any hassle. Another absolute highlight was the lovely lady running the breakfast cafe—she is just amazing and serves up a really wonderful breakfast. (We did have to show our confirmation email to the team to prove breakfast was included in our rate, but once that was sorted, the food itself was great). ​The Not-So-Good: Basic and Cramped Rooms While the service was great, the rooms themselves left a lot to be preferred. The space felt really small and cramped. The bed was quite small, and the linen provided was incredibly spare—just two pillows on the bed, one extra in the cupboard, and a very lightweight quilt. ​The amenities were also a mixed bag. While it was handy to have an iron and a kettle, the room was missing basic elements like proper toiletries. ​Overall Verdict It ultimately did the job for a quick overnight stay to see the lights, but it certainly wasn't the luxury or the experience we were hoping for. Go for the location and the lovely service, but expect very basic comfort.
