The location is ideal close enough but far enough to the activity. Rooms are well appointed, clean and are a small efficiency. Parking is easy. Property is beautiful. Staff is friendly and helpful. Close to numerous restaurants and a quick walk to the lake. Only thing missing was a second mirror outside of the bathroom, so that one can put make up on or do hair while other is showering.

My mom and I thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. It was peaceful and relaxing, exactly what we needed. The weather was perfect for sitting out on the patio and there was plenty of room for both of us to stretch out and enjoy the amenities in our suite.

The wine and beer options for happy hour were amazing! It felt like you were in the woods away from all the chaos but only a 5 minute drive from the Main Street. Our room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable!

I can’t say just how fantastic our experience was. It felt like we were honored guests in someone’s private mountain lodge. The lobby was an incredible place to enjoy a glass of wine or even a flight of wine from the bar. And the charming back courtyard leading to the private cabins was the definition of an idyllic mountain tableau. The staff not only thought of everything, but were happy and excited to share in your excitement about Tahoe. The location was excellent. Walking distance to restaurants and the pier. The room with its own fireplace made it a joy to cozy up at night after a day of adventures. Absolutely WILL be back. We can’t wait!

A new favorite for me and we come here every year and will make a point of always staying at the Black Bear Lodge. Adorable, quiet, spacious and the grounds were stunning.

We loved our room (room 5, king bed). It was extremely spacious and decorated with a cool mountain vibe. The bed was comfortable, with a nice feathertop mattress topper. And the outdoor hot tub was exactly what we wanted after a day of hiking. (Along with the warm robes in the rooms that you can wear back from the hot tub.) We really enjoyed it. My only complaints are minor and could be easily remedied: because our room was in the main lodge (upstairs of check-in), it got somewhat noisy in the morning; the only coffee available in both the room and in the lobby was "brew in bag" teabags of coffee, which were not great; the bathroom could use some more hooks for towels and clothes; there is a smoke alarm high on the ceiling that flashes with a bright white light every 10 sec or so which is irritating when trying to sleep; although there were 4 pillows, only 1 was soft-- we would have liked a selection of some firmer, some softer. All of these are very minor issues, so I hope they resolve them. Regardless, we had a very enjoyable stay, and really enjoyed the spaciousness and style of the room.

We loved staying here! Unfortunately we had a last minute change to our stay but Dana was able to accommodate us and made sure we were taken care of. The room was spacious and we appreciated the tea and coffee service. Super comfortable bed after a long road trip. Very convenient to the Whole Foods and area restaurants. Incredibly quiet room. Would definitely stay here again!

The property was very cute and comfortable. Easily accessible parking and in and out to rooms. The beds were very comfortable. We had a suite and enjoyed the extra living room area with kitchenette and half bath. The only bad thing, but this is typical for Tahoe, no AC. But with the fans and sliding door open with screen at night, the temperature was ok to sleep.

This is a sweet gem of a place. We stayed two nights, very quiet, well appointed, clean and the bed was very comfy! Close to the marina, coffee shops and restaurants. Easy walking if that's your thing.. We will be back.. enjoyed our stay very much..
