Rooms are very beautiful and very spacious. The breakfast is really disappointing. No fresh bread, no homemade pastries, only very sweet packaged cakes. The breakfast really needs to be improved.

Stayed here for one night, really nice location that's close to everything. The hotel was able to provide a parking pass for us to park in the ZTL and we found a spot nearby. They provided clear instructions on where we could park, which was really thoughtful. Room itself was really spacious and clean, would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is right inside the old city. Fifty steps and you are on the street passing through the four main squares. Because of the proximity of the hotel to the main attractions, I suggest parking a bit further out, especially if it is a holiday (which seems to be the case every day there judging by tghe crowds). Very nice and convenient hotel. I highly recommend it.

Very quiet, clean and convenient B&B run by hardworking folk. Huge room for Italy. Loved my stay and plan to return. For sure, would have appreciated later staffed check-in hours, but that will not dissuade me next time.

Because of pedestrian zone with bollards, hotel was very difficult to find and access. Parking was on the street some way away using permit from hotel. Reception only staffed until 1800 so need to sure to arrive on time. Actual room was clean, spacious, with air con, fridge and good sized shower room. Receptionist helpful and friendly. Located in centre of historic area. Good place to stay if you can find it.

The room was very sparse. Very few toiletries, the smallest piece of soap for my three nights stay was not renewed. I could hear everyone in the building taking a shower and the bed was not comfortable. The girl on reception though was very helpful and printed paperwork for me.

Perfect location close to the main sites in the center of the city. There are also many great cafe's (breakfast) and restaurant close by. Parking was on the road close to the Residenza. The host had arranged the ticket when we arrived (it is a restricted zone where you need to be registered by your number plate)

All is perfect but there is a but You cannot sleep on the bed because there are too short and are double bed but the problem the bed is so inconfortable. It's a piety because the most important is to have a good bed

Very central, just walk out the door and you are in the centre. Room 6 excessively noisy at night till about 3-4 a.m, ask for a room that isn't Street front. Breakfast extra. Its not expensive. Basic. Front desk only manned in the morning. Loved Mantova as a city.

The room was spacious but its decor and facilities were rather basic. Very dim light so if you like reading before going to sleep you may hurt your eyes. WiFi was very slow and we had to set it up from scratch every time we wanted to use it. The location is very good - it the heart of historic centre and 15 minutes walk from the train station.

Mantova is quiet town with a huge history. Lots of history, shopping and amazing views. Recommend an aperitivo at Bar Caravetti, lots of locals but very warm and friendly. Recommend a couple of days here unless you use it as a base. The guest house was close to Palazzo Ducale and we found it quiet and comfortable. We stayed in December and it was cold weather! The room, however , was warm and cosy. Would Saturday here again.

Hard to find hotel located on a side street before big plaza. Hotel knew we were coming by train. Sent us how to find hotel if driving. Definitely not the same. Should have sent walking instructions from train station. Staff extremely helpful on calling taxi and restaurant suggestions. Excellent location. Breakfast good with good variety. No hot food. Would stay here again. Close by restaurant trattoria Leonardo Ross excellent and very reasonably priced.

Yes, there was a little noise from the bar in the piazza, but nothing to stop me sleeping, and the proximity to bars, restaurants and most of the major sight in Mantova was an overwhelming plus point. It is extremely well maintained, recently refurbished by the look of it. There is everything you need in a very large room, but no extra frills. Breakfast is similarly without frills, and possibly a little on the basic side, but fine. The frills weren't missed at all. The staff were very pleasant, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend La Residenza Leon d'Oro.

Very difficult to find the hotel even with the detailed directions - especially because of one-way streets, no parking, and lots of construction work. However, once we found the hotel, and parking, it was just a walk to all the beautiful sights of Mantova.

Location couldn't have been better. This is an apartment not a hotel so we had to indicate when we were arriving but didn't have any problems gaining access. Staff looked after our luggage before check in and after checking out without any problems. Room was spacious and nicely decorated. Excellent value

Very glad we chose La Residenza Leon d'Oro. Great central location. Walking distance to everything, a lot practically at your door step. Front desk and housekeeping staffs responsive and attentive, excellent overall. Had a booking mix-up with our room which was resolved to our complete satisfaction without a hassle. Good shower on size, water pressure, hot water. Rooms and premises seem recently, and very nicely, refurbished.

Lovely big room, immaculately clean, comfortable. and modern overlooking beautiful piazza. .Charming girl at desk who was very helpful, phoned for a taxi, let us leave our bags while we did some sightseeing (we were only there for one night). Hotel is centrally placed, though a little difficult to find. not 24 hour reception so you have to observe suggested times. Breakfast is OK: coffee machine, fruit, toast, cereal. Mantua is really beautiful. would definitely stay there again.
