Our stay at Mahoora was fantastic. We booked the full day all inclusive safari package, which gave us one afternoon and one morning safari at Udalawawe. Special thanks to Avinka, who looked after us and made our stay special. Avinka was also our guide during both safaris - his passion for the wildlife at Udalawawe was one of a kind and we learned a lot of different details we otherwise wouldn’t have (we realized a lot of other safaris did not even have a guide). Our driver was fantastic as well and we felt safe at all times. We also highly appreciated that our tour was a private one, making this a truly personal experience.
The food at Mahoora was very tasty and exceeded our expectations. We were greeted with a 5 course lunch, a mix of Sri Lankan fusion. Dinner could not have been more memorable - a private table in front of a bonfire, with a 6 course meal under the stars.
The tent itself was very cozy and the bed - to our surprise - quite comfortable. We would definitely recommend Mahoora for a memorable and unique experience at Udalawawe!
