    Marlin Apartments is usually my preferred place to stay when visiting London, and I have stayed at several of their properties over the years. I will most likely continue to do so, as I generally have positive experiences with the brand. That said, Marlin Apartments Canary Wharf was not my favorite location. While the apartment looked relatively modern and recently refreshed, some elements were clearly showing their age. The dishwasher and bathtub, in particular, felt quite worn compared to what I have experienced at other Marlin properties. There were also a few maintenance issues that affected comfort. The doors and the bed squeaked noticeably, which was a bit disappointing. Another surprise was the TV setup. This was the first Marlin property I have stayed at where the TV did not offer standard aerial channels, only streaming apps such as YouTube and other OTT services. Overall, the apartment was comfortable and functional, and the location remains convenient. However, compared to other Marlin Apartments properties, this one could benefit from some maintenance and attention to detail.

    Aside from the issues indicated on the review title, 1. the tub has no grab bar, making people prone to accidents arising from slippery tub 2. The tub’s glass partition is not sealed onto the tub’s edge. Again, if one isn’t extremely mindful, this could cause accidents 3. Exhaust fan was busted. While the concierge was able to deploy his colleague to fix electrical issues and replace with a new exhaust fan, the debris and the cleaning was left to the guest 4. The room is very dated. Depending on the rate one has booked this for, value for money becomes relative.
