    I loved this hotel in Kyoto! It’s much bigger compared to other hotels within the price range. You could tell it’s an older hotel, but it is still clean and well-maintained. It is walking distance to the main shopping area and the location is gorgeous. There’s multiple convenient stores nearby and it is near a bus and train station. It is the first hotel that I stayed which uses a physical key, instead of a key card, to open the room. Because of this, you need to submit your key to the lobby before heading out and you need to claim it again once you come back. While it was not a problem for me, please take note of this.

    Hotel was great and reception was very pleasant. The only negative thing was that the pillows and bed was very uncomfortable

    Location is great, near to train station. Room is big but a bit dated, can’t put on air-cond during this season only heating. Staff not very friendly.
