    Honestly I had the best 27th birthday. room was beautiful on the 15th floor, I thought for a 5* hotel it should be better but still a great room with a lot of space. staff was very accommodating a lot of complimentary things, prosseco in reception, they sent a bottle of red wine with snacks and a really nice note to my room. The spa was nice, massage was amazing, I definitely want to go back 100% recommend

    Really lovely stay. The Spa was absolutely gorgeous and the reception staff were so lovely upon check in. They also sent some lovely surprises as it was my birthday. We did arrange late check out and they charged us £20 for 1 hour which we thought was a little steep (we overheard someone else getting late check out complimentary at reception so it appears not everyone gets the same treatment) The treatments in the spa seemed quite steep £80 for 30 mins massage seems alot. They didnt have any availability on the day we checked in sadly and the next day was too late in the day.

    Really enjoyed my weekend here! The staff made it extra special for my partners birthday offering us complimentary prosecco and a cute decoration of balloons and rose petals in the room. The spa facilities were great and rooms were very spacious only let down was the lack of a smart TV and at one point there was a strange smell coming from the shower. Aside from them I would definitely recommend solely because of the great hospitality! Thank you Montcalm East :)

    Check in was poor. I was admittedly early but being a Bonvoy member was assured a room would be expedited- it then wasn’t and when I returned to ask I was falafel by a surly woman who just told me check in is at 3pm even when I explained that the previous person had told me they would prioritise me. Room wa described as a suite but merely had a sofa in the same room, nowhere near suite standard especially at the price I paid Strange odour in room and gurgling pipes when other rooms were showering Unlikely to return given other superior options at better prices
