I love the Dormy Inn chain. Onsen, fantastic breakfast, free ramen after 9:30pm, treats after soaking in the onsen - all included. This particular location also has all you can drink and all you can eat snacks between 6:00-9:00pm for 1500 yen. The one downside to this stay after Tokyo is that the room only had twin beds and there were three of us. I had booked the room thinking there were two double beds because it said it slept four. That was translated as two adults and two children under 18. Our room at the Dormy Inn in Tokyo had two double beds and sleeping three of us was not an issue. Different local/regional rules though I totally understood once I saw the room. I ended up booking another room for a solo traveler which worked out well. Luckily for our family, they had extra rooms on different dates and were able to separate the early riser and the night owls for our stay. Communication via Expedia messaging was non-existent for this location. Total opposite for the Tokyo location. They were very responsive at the Tokyo location.

I am leaving two reviews for this location. The reason I have two experiences is because I ended up having to book another room even though my initial booking said the room slept four. It did not and local laws are pretty strict for this. I have no idea how it would sleep four when there were only two twin beds. Luckily I was able to stay in the same hotel as the rest of my family by booking my own room which was unexpected.
TL;DR. Make sure the room does actually allow 4 people to sleep. Their explanation for that particular room was 2 adults and two kids under 18. I don't see how that would have been possible with two twin beds. Communication via the Expedia app was non-existent for this particular location. I had reached out to them asking if it did sleep 4 a month prior to our trip. No response.
Other than that mix up and miscommunication, I enjoyed my stay. The onsen is a bonus along with the free ramen at night. This location is strict about tattoos and does provide coverings for smaller tattoos.
