The hostel looks nothing like its images online at all. I think they are photos of a different accommodation and it is instead very rundown and floor is uneven in the bathrooms. I met lovely people here, and it was in a central location, and it was affordable. I was very disappointed that the advertisement is incredibly misleading. My bed was originally a top bunk that had one rail and the other side had no rail. It is not against a wall so I was genuinely afraid of falling off the bed whilst sleeping. I had already requested a bottom bed previously but after seeing this I knew I couldn't sleep there the whole stay. They only let me change beds once I pointed out the safety concern.

WhatsApp group was good for info. All staff were SO LOVELY. Common areas a bit lacking in comfortable seating Terrace closes too early at 8pm. Do yourself a favour and hire an ebike or escooter to get around - it's so much fun

All staffs nice except one young man with the beard on my day of check out who gave me wrong information three times on the bus to station Sorolla. He told me Sorolla is a bus station not a train station where i booked the train to Barcelona. I am lucky to see a local man told me that is a train station and show me to take a metro line 7 to Sorolla

Booked two nights, but checked out after the first night. There was a group of high school kids (maybe 30) that checked in right after us. They were up until after 1 and you early the next morning. Loud and pounding on all doors. Talked to staff the next day about cancelling our room fir the second night but just said sorry, no refunds. We left anyway because we couldn’t take another night of no sleep. TAKE MY ADVICE, don’t stay here if you are over 21.

Too noisy! I couldn’t sleep all night! I payed for two days, but anyway they made me change the room next morning because a group had took my room so i had to let the room at 11am! Really a bad experience!

Nice hostel with really friendly and helpful staff. Free breakfast was nice. Free walking your offered every day and pub crawls most nights too! My only complaint would be that there weren’t enough plugs in my room. 3 plugs/4 beds. The hostel should offer a power strip or something in the rooms so more people can charge devices. The plus are also not near the beds. Just noting this as a consideration point for people who feel this is important!

Staff are great and very helpful. Rooms were on par with what you would expect from shared rooms. Breakfast was at a min level and coffee is very disappointing. Coffee is often the first thing most drink in the AM so if it sucks that sets the tone for the day. Investment into better coffee could be a game changer.

The mIn receptionist was not very pleasant, always cringing and speaking over the top of me. I really liked the rest of the staff though. They provide complementary tea, coffee and orange juice, which is just so relieving and comforting. There was free printing which was useful and nice too. This is a party hostel, so one night was a screaming competition in the common room, which I am sure has given perminsnt hearing loss and I wish the staff had tried to calm down the drunken people for other guests sake. The bathrooms were never over occupied, never having to wait. However I found only the disabled toilet shower was usable, the rest swirted sparcely and werent sufficient. Great oitchen!

Not incredibly friendly receptionist (the main one). This is a party hostel, thus the common room was a yelling competition one night, which I am sure has done perminant hearing damage to me. Shocked the staff did not try to control them for the wake of other calm guests wanting to use the computers or eat. Only the disabled toilet shower was decent enough to use, the remaining 3 on the level were dribbles. The lift is very slow. Otherwise, pretty good place.

This hostel was a big surprise for me, it was clean, the staff is very friendly. the wi-fi service was great. I met some fellow travelers there. It was such a great experience staying at Purple Nest.
