    Safestay Barcelona Gothic is a great choice if you are looking for a cheap hostel in a great location. The gothic quarter, where the hostel is located, is a fantastic maze of interest streets and super cool shops within walking distance to Safestay. I spent much of my trip just simply walking around and taking in the sights. Safestay is also very close to the water and a variety of historic landmarks worth visiting. If you plan to spend most of your time outside the Hostel, then Safestay is a fantastic deal for you. My main issues came with the facilities. The rooms are large and packed with beds which felt ever slightly too small. The shower rooms were abysmal. Pretty gross and almost every one on my floor had some issue, whether it was water pressure, broken shower heads, or lack of hot water. The main lobby was actually very nice and a decent place to chill, but the bedrooms and bathrooms were less than ideal. If that is not an issue for you and you simply want a cheap place in good location then I would definitely recommend it, but if you’re a bit more high maintenance like me I’d be a bit more cautious.
