Hôtel Picardy

Perfect location after a late night arrival, close to the station. That said, there are some unsavoury characters near the station at night! Very loud and no air con so had to open windows, thus making it louder. Door didn't lock on close, only when I was in. Hotel is dated but was cheap and its Paris so no issues

Clean room,helpful staff

staff, amenities and location

Location was perfect, across from Gare du Nord. Glad we booked early. Every night there others were turned away because Hotel Picardy was full. Room was clean, nice, and had great view from its two double windows. Beds were comfy. Bathroom was fine. Staff were very helpful. During check-in, I had left my expensive camera on the lobby couch. The desk man came to our room a few minutes later to return it. Not everyone would have done that! I highly recommend this hotel for all these reasons. We didn't eat breakfast there, as we had other plans. There are lots of interesting small and inexpensive eateries serving ethnic foods, and we enjoyed visiting some of them. If we ever return to Paris, you can bet we'll be planning on staying at this hotel.
