    The George is good value. The rooms are clean but a few corners could benefit from attention. The staff are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay but be aware that you get what you pay for.

    Lovely check in lady. Parking on site.Then... had a lovely dinner in a Turkish restaurant over the road. On returning to my room I lay listening to trains at rear of my window. Never-ending. At 11pm I decided to ask if possible I could change rooms. I had driven for 8hrs, and needed to leave early. The lady on duty called superior who rudely told me that trains would not run all night. At 1am I was still awake...at last they stopped and it was quieter. The trains began at 5am. again. I am sure that a move would have been possible. Water in bath no pressure. Walls next to bed disgustingly dirty. Picture attached. No one at counter this morning. A pity that customer service was nil.
