    I had a pleasant stay at The People Paris Hostel. The location is excellent, with easy access to the metro, buses, grocery shops, restaurants, and bars. The hostel is well organised despite the high number of guests. Rooms are spacious, with comfortable bunks, clean sheets, privacy curtains, and individual reading lights. I preferred the lower bunk for convenience. Lockers are available, but bring your own padlock. Towels are rented separately. Bathrooms are clean, with great hot showers, although you may need to queue during busy mornings. Remember to bring your access card whenever you leave the room, even for a quick toilet break! Noise from slamming doors, footsteps, and snoring is unavoidable in shared accommodation, so earplugs are helpful. Communal lounges are available on each floor, although charging sockets are limited. The complimentary breakfast is basic but enough to fuel a day of sightseeing. The surrounding area felt safe, even at night. Overall, a great budget-friendly option for solo travellers who don’t mind sharing facilities. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to meet new people while exploring Paris. Would happily stay again!

    Hundreds on hundreds of guests, 6 seats in the one SINGLE communal kitchen. Rooms are incredibly hot, no a/c (normal for Europe) but also no air flow or fans. 80+ degrees inside. Very clean, nice staff.

    Firstly there is absolutely no Air conditioning, no fan or any sorts of air, be prepared for that, if it gets hot, it’s impossible to stay inside the hostel. About the showers, there is a button you have to press and it stays on for exactly 5 seconds (not exaggerating), just count 1 to 5 seconds and it’s turned off, you have to keep pressing it every 5 seconds which absolutely the worst design ever and impossible to shower! I was in a 4 bed room with private bath and it’s the same no good than general washroom and also the sink is soo slow it’s only drips or has a mini stream and you can’t brush or wash your face properly. There is no point in paying extra and staying in a room with the private bathroom, it’s a waste of your money. And for cleaning, if nobody is checking out in your room that day, there is no cleaning in your room, no trash taken and no toilet paper for the whole day! Atleast the staff was kind and got us the toilet paper in a few minutes after I complained. The second floor is well decorated bar and a nice space but the drinks are expensive even after 20% discount for people staying inside the hostel. There was construction noise all day and you can’t hear people at night from the street and you can’t get a good sleep after 8am. We could close the window but with no air, we had no choice but to keep the window open and bear the noise. The location is nice and convenient with metro steps away but the facilities and no water is not worth it. I would pick another hostel if there was an option.
