    If you are looking for an excellent hotel, great Buffett breakfast, amazing shopping mall, cinema and nearby BTS, look no further. Everything is just a short walk away. We were there for 4 nights and everyday our room was thoroughly cleaned and the linens and towels were changed. We got what we paid for.

    We really enjoyed our stay in the family suite and it was a very comfortable stay for the 5 nights that we were there. Location is great, direct access to Central world. Rooms were extremely clean and well made up everytime we returned to the room. The only negative thing is that the rooms are not very soundproof so we could hear the noises from the corridor quite clearly.

    I booked two rooms through Agoda and paid for both rooms fully in advance. Unfortunately, the check-in experience at Centara Grand was extremely stressful and upsetting. The registration staff claimed that my name in passport did not match the booking and insisted that there was no “Jackie” stated in the reservation. I showed my Agoda booking confirmation, the Agoda app and the credit card used for payment, and explained that I had never experienced this problem at other hotels. I was then asked to contact Agoda myself to change my name. Unfortunately, I could not get through to the service line. The hotel staff eventually called their manager, and after she managed to contact Agoda, the name was finally changed in the booking system. The whole process took more than 30 minutes. What made this particularly upsetting was that I felt personally insulted and humiliated. I had already paid for the rooms and had the booking confirmation and payment proof with me, yet I felt as though my identity and credibility were being questioned. I became so frustrated and upset that I ended up crying at the reception desk. The hotel eventually upgraded us to better room because my request for 2 rooms to be side by side was not fulfilled. I appreciated the gesture but the initial experience was extremely unpleasant and left a very bad impression. Overall, this was a very disappointing and distressing check-in experience, especially after having fully paid for the booking in advance.
