I booked this place for one night because hotels in Taiping were almost fully booked due to an event. The photos looked nice, so I booked without checking the reviews carefully.
Only on the way to Taiping did I realise that Wawa Jana View is quite far from town. Unfortunately, it was already past the cancellation time, so I had no choice but to proceed.
The reality was completely different from the photos. The building was old and poorly maintained. The swimming pool was full of algae, the corridors were dirty and run-down, with broken ceiling boards and rusty doors. There were many empty, neglected units.
There was a lift, but I couldn't use it because there was no access card, so I had to take the stairs. Luckily, my room was on the first floor.
Inside the unit, the TV was extremely old. The utensils provided were old and looked dirty. The bedsheet was stained, and the towels were old and looked unclean.
I only took a shower and left. I did not feel comfortable staying there overnight. The place felt more like an abandoned or haunted building than a holiday accommodation, especially thinking about how it would be at night.
The photos are very misleading. Please check recent reviews carefully before booking. I definitely would not stay here again.
I suggest Agoda should not advertise/accept/recommend this hotel/home stay.
