    I was disappointed with several aspects of my stay, particularly the parking experience, room maintenance, and the way my concerns were handled. At check-in, the receptionist did not clearly explain the parking charges or validation procedure. As a result, I encountered an issue at the exit barrier and was required to return to the parking area, go down to the lobby to obtain a validation stamp, and then return to my vehicle before I could exit without paying. While I understand that parking procedures may be necessary, the process in this case was unnecessarily inconvenient, particularly for guests travelling with young children or family members with disabilities. Given the circumstances, I decided to pay the RM9 parking fee rather than go through the additional process. I subsequently raised my concern with the receptionist. Although I received apologies, I felt that the matter was not properly addressed, as there was no clear explanation of the procedure or meaningful resolution to the inconvenience I had experienced. There were also some issues with the room that I believe should have been addressed before the room was assigned to a guest. There were no plastic liners in the rubbish bins, either in the bathroom or in the room itself, which made the bins look unhygienic and gave the room a less clean appearance. In addition, the bedside lamp was not functioning properly. When I attempted to use it, it caused the electrical supply in the room to trip, resulting in the lights going out. This was concerning and also affected the comfort of the stay. The hotel’s signage could also be improved. The signs are relatively small and visually dim, making them difficult to notice and causing confusion when navigating the hotel, particularly for first-time guests. Clearer, more visible and welcoming signage would greatly improve the overall guest experience. Overall, I believe there is room for improvement in the hotel’s parking system, guest communication, housekeeping standards, room maintenance, signage, and customer service. I hope these issues can be taken seriously and addressed to provide a more comfortable and seamless experience for future guests. Unfortunately, this experience has affected my overall impression of the hotel, and I would be unlikely to choose this hotel again when visiting Taiping.
