    A bit out of the way but a nice hotel. Good facilities (pool could be cleaner). Probably best in the area

    We booked the hotel on Agoda, it was our honeymoon and we wanted a 5 Star hotel in Laos. We parked the car in Thailand and drove over the Friendship Bridge by bus. When we got through immigration we looked for a taxi to the hotel. There was a Tuk Tuk, and the driver said, Oh, the casino hotel! There is no pictures of the casino in the 200 pictures of the hotel. Upon our arrival, we entered the hotel. We entered a huge casino and people were smoking everywhere. We checked in, and we're shown to our room. We were told, tomorrow you will have a new room. The room was great, everything a 5 star room should have. The following day, we changed rooms, for a suite. Wow, Omg, it was like a luxury apartment, kitchen, dining area, lounge, and separate beautiful bedroom. The suite was fantastic. There is a restaurant that does a buffet meal, in the evening, costs 250 baht/person, very good value. There is also a noodle restaurant, near the casino, good food, about 100 baht, 40 baht for a small beer. We were given free massage coupons, so we enjoyed an hour long massage. The hotel has an average gym, sauna (that you have to pay for) and swimming pool, which is overlooked by the patrons at the restaurant. Overall, it was a luxury suite we stayed in. We did venture out, one night, looking for another restaurant, but we walked 100 meters, then returned to the hotel. I must say, the hotel manager did everything he could for us to enjoy our stay.

    The hotel is part of a casino. Breakfast was poor, the food was cold and the selection was terrible. Not what I expect from a 5 star hotel and smoking was allowed in the elevators and common areas.
