Overall a pleasant stay with the host ✨ Friendly and welcoming, making the experience comfortable. The setup is more like a hostel concept, with shared toilet and bathroom facilities—only 1 toilet and 1 shower room on the 2nd floor, while the rest are located on level 1. The price is slightly on the higher side, and laundry costs an additional 300 yen per cycle.

We got charged extra 10 dollars for checking in 30 min later than specified hours. So watch out for that, host could be nicer and explain that to us but she just demanded the money and didn't explain too much. Location is far from Kyoto center and Osaka although it's very close to the train station. Cleaness is ok. Kitchen is not available for guests. We felt like the host just wanted our money, once we paid she became a bit nicer. I would reccomend it as a stop for the night (when you arrive on time) and nothing more.

This was really worst experience in my traveling history. We are 4 persons with 1 teenager & 1 kid only 8 years old. we did book for “triple rooms” as mentioned on agoda, we through it should be fine like we did before in other hotel in Tokyo & Osaka, if not ok we may pay for it xtra bed that’s fine. Than after we arrive, checked its not for “triple room” but the owner said only for “2 persons adult” it’s misunderstanding fine I said we will pay extra for the fourth than she insist to charge us “double price room” but still only 1 room, the room rate was ¥9,800.00 including tax we paid in agoda than she charge again same ¥9,800.00 even for kid no discount. I said “I don’t want to argue but pls give little bit discount since it’s just misunderstanding which not completely our side mistake” than she answer very unpolitely “than only allowed to sleep 2 persons other 2 can’t stay” . If only for 2 adults fine than should not mention in agoda “triple room” = it’s not complete our side mistake. The attitude of the lady owner was really disgusting, what kind of answer of that, everything should be negotiable even if she insist she should not said like that words, means we have to look for other hotel for our other 2 persons ? The way of her talking is really very annoying ! By the end we just paid ¥9,800.00 because we were tired didn’t want to argue too much & already late how possible we find other room. By the end we paid double of the standard room price which if we book other place we may get much bigger room or should he two rooms. It’s relay very tricky and so strict with the lady owner. We re really not happy. Other things like check out time 10am can’t extend that’s fine, she also refuse to let us put our luggage said Japan holiday fully booking. also we didn’t want to force but this kind of double charge is really CHEATING taking advantage of lack of communication ! Beside why written “triple room” if only for “2 adults” her own fault too ! But this really a very bad experience of us ! No matter what’s situation everything should be solved nicely without argument. I was really upset with such of check in experience like this ! I almost never give bad comment to any hotel since everybody is not easy to maintain living. But this time I was really so pissed off & angry strongly not recommend this bad hostel in Kyoto Japan ! The Phillipino staff is very nice & helpful this was the only plus point.
