    The hotel is already renovated. It is new and clean with enough amenities to accommodate our stay. The staffs can speak English and very helpful trying to accommodate us.

    Empark Prime touts itself as a 5-star hotel but that’s unfortunately quite far off the mark. We travelled as a couple with our 7 year old and while our Deluxe Twin room was comfortable, we were horrified to discover that smoking was rampant and the smell seeped out into the corridors and into our room. Despite turning on our exhaust all the time, our room still smelt of smoke and even our towels reeked. We ended up coughing and suffered from sore throats throughout our stay. Also found that the front desk was not very helpful with enquiries, responding mostly with a blank or bored look on their faces. We sent our laundry to an external service to be washed and the hotel staff seemed reluctant to help when we asked them to pass the (well-packed) bag of laundry to the courier for pickup. In summary, would not stay again nor recommend unless it suits your budget and you don’t mind smoke and tepid service. In contrast, we went across the road to Pu Xuan hotel for breakfast one day and experienced real 5-star hotel service.
