Bathroom and room was good. Cooking facilities were good

The owner was flirtatious and kept trying to touch me. I didn’t like you had to pay for washing machine

Centrally located in a wonderfully friendly host!

Once inside the apartment, all is clean and beautiful. The host takes care of details and it shows. With that said the neighbors on the other floors, including the one where the apartment is located on has a very third world slum feel to it, stacks of shoes and junk in the hallways, a bit dirty, dark, and overall not pleasant to look at.

Check the description and photos very carefully to ensure you get what you ordered. And bear in mind that these are well-taken photographs.

The host is very honest, but sometimes the wording can be misunderstood. Do not read more into the description than is actually there.

The location is not ideal as the appartement is above a cafe bar which blasted music until late the both nights, and is situated at the top of a hill which could be tiring for some in that heat When you rent a flat, things are bound to be broken and used. My partner and I are extremely respectful and careful, but mistook a plastic tray for a baking tray and ended up putting the former in the oven. We cleaned it within ten minutes, and paid for the tray. We also apologised many times. The host knocked on our door, and ordered us to follow him in the kitchen, pointing at the oven and repeating « you ought to clean, it is plastic » before going back in his room. We were both treated like young kids that had purposely made a mess. He came back two minutes after, a big smile on his face and speaking to me whilst repeating to my partner over and over « why would you do this, this is plastic! Don’t touch anything more, this is my home, my house, you need to pay for the tray » (let’s keep in mind, it was a 1€50 tray which we paid back and we cleaned the oven in 5 minutes because the mess was minimal). He was so insisting about speaking down to my partner that I had to tell him to stop, and to remind him we had apologised and were about to clean everything. The whole situation was very strange and his overreaction was absolutely not ok, and made us both uncomfortable for the rest of the stay. This is not how you treat guests who made a small mistake, or how you treat people in general. We were also weirded out about him knocking on our door (at other occasions) to ask things instead of simply texting. He started as an adaptable and kind person, but turned into an impatient and rude person the second a small thing happened. Looking at other slightly negative reviews and his responses to them, we noticed this was not an isolated case. Would not recommend.
