The apartment is in a very quiet and somewhat hidden part of the Kontokali peninsula, which is a real advantage if you are looking for peace and privacy. It faces northeast, so even during the hottest summer days, the spacious terrace overlooking the garden and olive grove is a particularly pleasant place to sit and relax. There is more than enough parking space for all guests, which is always a welcome bonus. The apartment itself is spacious and reasonably well equipped, with a full-size kitchen, a stove with an oven, toaster, coffee machine and a full-size refrigerator. Personally, I found the bed exceptionally comfortable, so a special compliment for that. Due to the position of the apartment, the temperature inside is generally pleasant, and the air conditioning has no difficulty cooling the entire space very quickly. Before arriving, I was concerned about mosquitoes, but there are mosquito screens on every window and, fortunately, there were hardly any mosquitoes at all.

Nowhere on the Booking.com page did I see that the apartments are self-cleaning, meaning towels and bed linen are not regularly changed. I only learned this on the day of arrival via WhatsApp with the owners. To their credit, because of our longer stay, they kindly offered to change the towels and bed linen once and clean the apartment once, which they did as promised. However, for a 15 day stay, using the same towels throughout is unrealistic. Even more unusual is having to put used toilet paper in a bin and carry the waste roughly one kilometre to a communal container. Yes, I understand that this is a common practice in Greece, and I have no problem respecting local rules. What I do find less reasonable is having to deal with this kind of housekeeping and waste disposal during a holiday when the arrangement was not clearly communicated before arrival. The lack of regular cleaning also means that small yellow ants appear almost instantly whenever food is left on the kitchen counter. Even a few crumbs can attract them, and we eventually had to keep bread in the refrigerator. The apartment itself has many good qualities, but the cleaning policy and related practical issues were a significant downside. I strongly believe these arrangements should be clearly stated on the Booking.com listing so guests can make an informed decision before booking.

Die Wohnung ist räumlich sehr großzügig, sehr modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Wohnung hat zwei große Balkone, Klimaanlage und schützende Fliegengitter. Es war sehr freunlich vom Gastgeber Wasser, Marmelade, Kaffee und Zwieback kostenlos bereit zu stellen

Mehr Handtücher für vier Tage wären gut gewesen. Ohne Auto ist die Wohnung nur sehr schwer zu erreichen. Aber machbar! An der letzten Abzweigung wäre eine weitere Beschilderung vorteilhaft um die Wohnung besser zu finden.

Very quiet place and a super comfy bed. Owners were very nice and helpful whenever we needed something. Nice location and parking options.

Unfortunately no real sea view even though we booked a sea view apartment. There are a lot of big trees and bushes that were obstructing the view to the sea.
