About this house rental
This is very special house for me and my husband.
Years ago I used to live next door working the crazy summer hours, 3 jobs and trying to build a better future for myself.
Then I met someone special, yes him... So it happened on a date, we went for a long walk, on the way back to my home then, we stopped at the corner of this very house, and we stayed, talked and giggled for hours... This is where we kissed for the very first time!
Thus the name "The Reminisce", hopefully you folks are going to make just as great memories here as we did!
This home had originally being build in the mid 1900s.
The house had gone a lot of chopped renovations and changes over the years. It just never felt complete....
We took on this project as a great challenge, we preserved the shell and solid bones from this tired old home and did absolute gut remodel to bring it back to beauty.
Just about everything is absolutely brand new or being brought to it's once new glory.
When creating the design- we were trying to achieve the charm of an old house, but still contemporary to fit the needs of a modern family.
The interior:
Entry way of the house is all Italian tiled mud room with heated floor, where you can live your clothes and shoes .
Please- be mindful do not wear shoes in the house!
Everywhere we installed brand new stained white oak hardwood floors.
The home opens up immediately to the dining room, living room and fully equipped kitchen, majority of the first floor is open concept and spacious.
Dining room fits comfortably 8 people.
There is a nice electric fireplace to bring up the atmosphere in this space, 60" TV, and the kitchen welcomes you with large island able to fit 8 guests on bar stools. Tucked into a closet you will also find our stacked laundry and drier for your convenience. Detergent is located in the cleaners closet by the stairs.
Two of our bedrooms- both with king size beds are also located on the first floor, together with office/chill area by the back french door leading to the back yard.
Across the dining room by the stairs is the master bedroom.
It has the original all brick fireplace outfitted with electric unit for ambiance, 55" TV and has a desk as well if you need to get some work done. Also en-suite full bathroom, tile- heated floor with a build in tub/shower unit.
Trough the kitchen, if you turn right before entering the office area you will find spacious bedroom with a king size bed and 55" TV.
Our bright office/reading area has 2 comfortable armchairs, perfect for reading, large work desk and the French full glass doors leading you to the back yard.
In the same space is located our 2nd full bathroom, tile- heated floor with build in shower unit.
From the dining area there will be stairs going to the second floor by the stairs is our cleaners closet with some additional supplies.
There are 3 bedrooms and one full bathroom with a enclosed shower unit.
First bedroom has a queen size bed, a desk, electric fireplace, closet and 55" TV.
Second bedroom has also queen size bed 55" TV and is outfitted with open face cast iron clothes wardrobe.
And last third bedroom is the kids room, very spacious with 4 twin size beds and a large closet.
Each room/space has heat pump- A/C unit for your comfort.
Exterior of the house:
Beautiful garden beds on the face of the house, please no flower picking.
Smart door lock for guest self check in convenience.
Complimentary to guest electric car charging station located on the side of the house.
Walking on the back of the house is the back gate that leads you into the back yard.
The backyard has stone patio and the you will find 6 person hot tub, hangout area with propane firepit table, propane fired grill and a swing.
Over the patio there is an electric awning covers over the outdoor furniture and firepit, so even when its raining you could spend some time outside.
Please retract the awning if using the firepit!
Guest access
The entire house and back yard is for the guests.
Private chef and yoga instructor available on request .
Only space locked will be the basement for personal storage.
When parking please use the designated spots, the garage across the street is storage and workshop.

This was the perfect base for our first visit to Bar Harbor. The home was immaculate and stocked with tons of amenities. We walked all over-grocery store, shops, restaurants, etc. Easy access to Acadia, just a few miles away. Owner was easy to communicate with and instructions were clear. Highly recommend!

This property was comfortable and clean and met our expectations! The property owner was quick to reply when I asked questions. We had a lovely stay!

The house had great space for family. Check-in was simple. On arrival the space was clean and just as pictured online. The open floor plan with kitchen, dining and lounging was perfect for 9 adults and two children. It was nice to be able to all sit down to dinner on first night at the same table. We hung out together on first floor and it never felt crowded. Outdoor space very comfortable too.
