Formerly the holiday destination for wealthy Roman patricians, Frascati sits next to the ancient town of Tusculum and is an oasis of calm just outside of Rome. This apartment is the perfect base from which to explore a beautiful region, steeped in Ancient history. This apartment is newly renovated while retaining touches of old world charm, like the wooden beamed ceilings. With a sleek kitchen, for whipping up meals in, a cosy sofa for watching movies on, and a modern bathroom, you will feel right at home here. If you are looking for somewhere to work remotely, the apartment has speedy Wi-Fi and a washing machine in the small outdoor space, so is well suited to longer stays. The apartment is located in the city centre, where you will find plenty of local coffee shops, excellent restaurants and a train station that gets you into Rome in thirty minutes. Walk two minutes and you will reach Ombrellino Park, with its beautiful landscaping and plenty of games for children, it’s especially popular among locals. Five minutes away from the home, you’ll also find Villa Torlonia known for its English-style garden (one of the only in the city) and panoramic views of Rome. On hot summer days, we recommend you drive twenty minutes to Lago Albano, a fabulous bright blue volcanic lake where you can swim, paddleboard and canoe.
